Re: program that copies a text and search for it in the browser

this works good for me: #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases. ; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors. SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability. SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensu...

Script needs updating, todo.txt

I am a big fan of todo.txt for my task managing. been using an old ahk script https://github.com/notbalanced/todo.txt-ahk for several years and it's been good. i wanted to get the script updated (haven't been able to get in touch with the original author). the changes it needs are a bit out of my sk...

Re: library location

I ended up putting this script together. It does several things for me: - finds my dropbox path, computer name (for ID purposes) and outputs that to a text file in %A_Temp%. I have other scripts that reads that file into variables. - then it checks for/creates a Lib directory and xcopys over files a...

Re: library location

thanks, i forgot about the symbolic link idea. that might be simplest way.
I was also thinking to just put together a conditional filecopy script. just need to add into it a date or time check to make sure it doesn't spend time copying files that are already there.

Re: library location

thanks, got that. doesn't really answer my question though, but maybe i wasn't clear enough (sorry too early in the morning). i want to have the same script(s) execute on multiple machines with all the #includes pointing to a dropbox location that is different on each machine (c:\users\somenamehere\...

library location

Hi-
From what I've read, the location for the library functions is fixed. Are there any workarounds? I'd prefer to keep my library functions in my dropbox, but my dropbox is a different location on my different computers (work, home, etc). Any ideas?

thanks

Re: changing cursors

thanks, gives me a bit more to play with. I appreciate the help from both of you.
In my code in post #1, I reference the cursor ID#. If I wanted to use a custom cursor file, is there an easy tweak to make that work?

Re: changing cursors

changing cursors

hi- I'm working on a script that helps me populate a text file. I was hoping to have the text select cursor change when the hotkey is active. i.e., change to something obvious or (different cursor) to show that the hotkey is active then when i exit the script, the cursor changes back. thru searching...

Re: Locate a Dropbox? Topic is solved

a bit more manual but short and sweet: EnvGet, appdata_Loc, LOCALAPPDATA FileRead, string, %appdata_Loc%\DropBox\info.json Path_Loc := (InStr(string, "path", false)) + 8 Host_Loc := (InStr(string, "host", false)) - 4 Path_Len := Host_Loc - Path_Loc Db_Path := StrReplace(SubStr(string, Path_Loc, Path...

Re: Locate a Dropbox? Topic is solved

Re: Parse ComboBox list

this looks like a great start, thanks for your help. the 'textlines.push(parts[2]) line is interesting. learned something new. quick one though: the +AltSubmit property ... store the position of the selected item. How do I get the text of the actual item selected?
