Re: Script writing help

Getting things a bit closer. I added the ability to write to an excel file. One question though: I'd like the filename written to the excel file as a hyperlink and not plain text. Any ideas? #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases. ; #Warn ; Enable warn...

Re: Script writing help

interesting, i've seen some posts about global variables, but since most of my scripts are simple i've never had to work with them. thanks for the explanation though. i can definitely see how they could be useful.

Re: Script writing help

on the error above. think I figured out the issue. for some reason, if you call watchfolder() outside of the script (like using an #include), it doesn't seem to close cleanly. so the next time i called to script that had watchfolder in the same script I got the error. the only way the clear the erro...

Re: Script writing help

i was afraid of that. i've been looking thru the forums and haven't seen anything on google sheets unfortunately. for now i'll settle for having the outputs written to a text file. Maybe look at Excel integration later. Since this is going on a test machine, my IT group isn't thrilled about putting ...

Re: Script writing help

excellent, thanks. a few questions for the next go-round if you don't mind: looking thru the watchfolder routine, does it report the filename of the added file? or just that a file was added? need the 4 fields (filename, list1-3) to be added to an excel or google sheet. i see the tutorials on writin...

Re: Script writing help

duh, good point. sorry brain fart. I need a script that uses 'watchfolder' or other method to watch a folder (and hopefully sub-folders) and each time a new file is added to a folder a popup dialog that has 3 pull-down listboxes where i can either select a predefined text string (contained within th...

Script writing help

Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but I was curious if there was anyone (mid to advanced level) autohotkey programmer that would be interested in writing a script for me? it's for a personal project, but i just don't have the time right now to work on it.

thanks

MouseMove issue?

I am working on small script that finds a window location, moves the mouse cursor, and clicks. this works: WinGetPos, QTX, QTY, , , QTodoTxt mousemove, %qtx%, %qty%, 100 qtx := qtx+340 qty := qty+100 sleep, 1000 mousemove, %qtx%, %qty%, 100 click send ~...

USB Camera

Hi-
I am putting together a vision system with multiple USB cameras for a project at work. One question though that is a bit over my head. Is there a way for AutoHotkey to poll a USB port to verify the camera is turned on and ready?

thanks in advance for any help

OPML

Hi- I need to work on a project for work that requires an OPML 2.0 compliant output file. Searching thru the forum I haven't seen anything that may help me. Re: Rainmeter-like Evernote/Search Widget (gui)

one recommendation would be to add a variable for the location of ENScript.exe. For me, my Evernote is installed in another directory so I changed your script to add:

EnLoc = my location \Evernote

then at each 'Run' command it's %EnLoc%\ENScript...........
