Re: Remove blank lines from text file Topic is solved

Hi Wim,
Try this If statement instead:

Code: Select all

If ((tmp!="#" ) and (A_LoopReadLine!="")) ; if line doesn't startwith # and isn't null

Re: RegExMatch help

Hi jeeswg, Thank you very much... [\d,]+ in there works a charm! While I have your attention, I can use your help on a similar issue. I have the same situation where there's a Prefix and a Suffix, but what is between them can be any string with any characters and any length (and it is inside quotes)...

Re: RegExMatch help

Hi jeeswg, That doesn't work because it matches a string that begins with the Prefix but doesn't have the Suffix. For example, it fails on this: LargeString:="12345<hold>123 <hold>17,293 Plans</hold>abcdef" It must match on the integer (with commas) between the Prefix and Suffix. There may be other ...

Re: RegExMatch help

Hi sinkfaze,
Can't use that because there are many other integers in the large string. However, there is only one occurrence of the Prefix and Suffix, and only one integer (with commas) between the Prefix and Suffix. That's the one it needs to find. Thanks, Joe

RegExMatch help

Hi Folks, RegEx continues to elude me. I have a large string with an integer somewhere in it that is between two other strings. Here's an example: <hold>17,293 Plans</hold> That appears in the middle of a large string. Note that the integer has commas as the thousands separator. I wrote this code th...

Re: Remove blank lines from text file Topic is solved

Hi Wigi, I don't know what to say. I just tested it on W7/64-bit, W8.1/64-bit, W10/32-bit, and W10/64-bit (AHK 1.1.30.03, mix of U32 and U64). All four runs produced perfect results. Here's the code (I modified it so that it wouldn't change the original file...makes testing easier): c01:="c:\temp\tm...

Re: Remove blank lines from text file Topic is solved

The code that you just posted is not what you had before. Here's your previous code, cleaned up by removing the commented-out code and with my MsgBox and If statement: Msgbox, 4, Confirm, Do you want to delete all lines in the tm1s.cfg file that start with an # or are blank/empty? IfMsgBox Yes { all...

Hi Wigi,
Works perfectly here...tested it before posting, as I always do. Yes, please send your file and code...I'd love to figure out why it works here but not for you. Regards, Joe

Re: Remove blank lines from text file Topic is solved

Hi Wigi,

Change the MsgBox to this:

Code: Select all

Msgbox, 4, Confirm, Do you want to delete all lines in the tm1s.cfg file that start with an # or are blank/empty?
And the If statement to this:

Code: Select all

If ((tmp!="#" ) and (tmp!="")) ; if line doesn't start with # and isn't null

Re: [Function] FGP - FileGetProperties

I have a question related to this library but wasn't sure if posting it here or in a separate thread was better. I decided on the latter:

How to set file properties - SetDetailsOf - FileSetProperties

I'd certainly appreciate the help of kon and anyone else on this thread. Thanks, Joe

How to set file properties - SetDetailsOf - FileSetProperties

Hi Folks, I've been using kon's FGP - FileGetProperties . Terrific piece of code...works great! I'm wondering if there's a way to SET the value of a property...creating a FSP - FileSetProperties library or maybe just adding a function to kon's FGP library along the lines of: * FGP_Set(FilePath,Prope...

Re: Is it possible to right-click on a tray context menu item to get a context menu for that item?

Hi jeeswg, Thanks for the reply...and the code...much appreciated! Some of it is beyond me, but I'll study it and play with it. However, I must be able to call it from the same program. If that's not doable, I'll just make another right-click option at the root level of the context menu that does wh...

Re: How to put an indicator in the title bar of the compiler to know if it is 32-bit or 64-bit Topic is solved

Hi TAC109, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I understand that. What I'm looking for is a visual way to know which .bin file that it will be using. Of course, it's always AutoHotkeySC.bin , but I'd like to know if that is Unicode 32-bit.bin or Unicode 64-bit.bin (or ANSI 32-bit.bin , although I never use t...

How to put an indicator in the title bar of the compiler to know if it is 32-bit or 64-bit Topic is solved

When using the 32-bit and 64-bit compilers, they have identical dialogs — same exact title bar, same exact contents in the dialog box. I'd like to have an immediate visual indicator to know whether it's the 32-bit or 64-bit one, such as a different title bar — the icon and/or the text. Any thoughts ...
