Re: Upcoming Ahk2Exe Changes (2019)

Hi TAC,
A quick note to let you know that I ran the same set of tests documented in a previous post with Beta_9 on both 1.1.31.01 and 1.1.32.00 — everything worked perfectly! And thanks for changing MPress to MPRESS. Regards, Joe

Size option for GUI Checkbox and Radio

I try to make the programs that I write suitable for the visually-impaired. One technique that I use is to allow selection of font size for the text in GUIs. Problem is, when the text is next to a checkbox or radio button, the checkbox or radio button does not change size along with the text. I foun...

Re: Upcoming Ahk2Exe Changes (2019)

Hi TAC109 and AHKStudent (and anyone else who wants to jump in), I was not familiar with uiAccess in the manifest until you folks just started discussing it. I see that both my AHK-compiled EXEs and my installer EXEs (via NSIS) have uiAccess="false" in the manifest. Please explain what that means in...

Sorry...can't help you with that. I suspect that you're on the right track with OnMessage/PostMessage, but I'm not very knowledgeable about them. Looking forward to hearing what you discover on this. Regards, Joe

Re: Tray ICON color and pausing

You're welcome, joefiesta. Yes, that 1 option is the key! In case you missed it, here's a more recent post at that thread with an enhanced version of the script:

Re: FINAL change autohotkey tray icons Topic is solved

I wrote that as a sample working script of how to do what you want, not as a complete script for you, the key being the 1 option on Menu,Tray,Icon before issuing the Pause . I'm unclear on what you want now and don't understand the comment, "only rightclick suspend/reload no hotkey". Here's what I t...

Re: FINAL change autohotkey tray icons Topic is solved

I edited my posted script above with two changes:

(1) Added a Return in the A_ThisMenuItem="&Pause" path.

(2) Placed a checkmark on the Pause menu item when the script is paused and removed the checkmark when the script is running.

Re: FINAL change autohotkey tray icons Topic is solved

I don't know what you mean by "put the script at the top of your script". In any case, the key to the solution is the 1 option on the Menu,Tray,Icon,PausedIcon.ico,,1 command. What that does is "freeze" the icon, which means that Pause (and Suspend ) will not change it (documented here ). So, all yo...

Re: Tray ICON color and pausing

Hi joefiesta,

I posted how to do it here:
https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=69710&p=301741#p301741

Since you already have your own (Running) icons for the five scripts, all you have to do is create five Paused icons for them. Regards, Joe

Re: FINAL change autohotkey tray icons Topic is solved

Hi maxkill, First, I think you're confusing Suspend and Pause . Suspend is used to suspend hotkeys and hotstrings. Pause is used to pause the script (actually, the current thread). With that clarification, here's a script that has Pause , not Suspend (of course, add Suspend if you want it, but based...

Re: How to remove systray icon after process was closed?

Hi genaro, I haven't heard back from you on my previous post and I'm going offline now for the evening, so I'll leave you with some code that works with one of your executables: ProgramEXE:="Lingvo.exe" oTrayInfo:={} oTrayInfo:=TrayIcon_GetInfo(ProgramEXE) For index, item in oTrayInfo { UniqueID:=ite...

Re: How to remove systray icon after process was closed?

I presume that you know about parameters in functions. If not, study the doc here: https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Functions.htm#param All of the parameters in the library's functions are defined in the TrayIcon_GetInfo function. The call to TrayIcon_Remove requires hWnd and uID as params. You can g...

Re: How to remove systray icon after process was closed?

Hi genaro, The method that I use is thanks to Cyruz, Sean, and FanaticGuru, and their awesome TrayIcon Library. The version that I'm using is here: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?p=9186#p9186 The key to the solution is to remove the icon before doing the Process,Close via a call like th...

Re: If an exe file on disk is a compiled AHK script?

I'm pretty sure what he means is this: If you look inside an EXE file, such as with a text editor, a hex editor, a resource hacker, etc., can you determine that the EXE file was compiled from AutoHotkey source code? The answer is probably yes in all cases, since, at the end of the day, the AHK inter...

Thanks guest3456 and Helgef ...both are very interesting comments! Clearly, the far better test for madsounds is: var:="0" If var is integer MsgBox var=%var% and is integer Else MsgBox var=%var% and is not integer var:="x" If var is integer MsgBox var=%var% and is integer Else MsgBox var=%var% and i...

Re: The is operator does not count 0 as an integer Topic is solved

It's not a bug. Note this in the IfIs doc:
Note: The operators "between", "is", "in", and "contains" are not supported in expressions.
Your MsgBox, % makes it an expression.

Try this:

Code: Select all

If 0 is integer
  MsgBox 0 is integer
Else
  MsgBox 0 is not integer

Re: [x64 & x32 fix] DeskIcons - Get/Set Desktop Icon Positions

all your monitors have a horizontal resolution of 2560px Ah, great observation! The left and middle monitor are 2560 wide (right one isn't, but that's irrelevant). So, the X value is obviously zero-based, meaning the middle monitor starts at 2560=0x0A00 and the right starts at 5120=0x1400. the vert...

Re: [x64 & x32 fix] DeskIcons - Get/Set Desktop Icon Positions

Yes, X coordinates can be negative, and that's the case with my left monitor as reported by WinSpy (since my middle one is Main), but that's not the case with the coords values. For example, here are the values for the top row, first two icons: left monitor 131085 0x0002000D 131160 0x00020058 middle...
