Re: TitleCase() - capital case, headline style - mixed case style

If you just want to Capitalize each word as you type 26 hotstrings will do it :) :*C?: a:: A :*C?: b:: B :*C?: c:: C ; etc Of course would produce Iphone vs iPhone and Vs vs vs, a simple inputbox or something like burque505 suggests would be nicer I guess. What you could do is use the crude method a...

Re: TitleCase() - capital case, headline style - mixed case style

If you mean like typing and then have your words automatically in TitleCase, then no, not out of the box - although I'm sure a method could be found but it might be rather annoying as nearly every word becomes a hotstring in such a case. But you can always select text and transform the selected text...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

When you use Markdown, it is translated into HTML first to be able to paste it as "formatted text". So thinking about what markdown would do with a single line: it converts to html, which would make it <p>text you have in your snippet</p> e.g. a paragraph which would indeed add a new bullet - but it...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

Adding your own plugin is indeed a good idea - this would be the shortened version - note that you can use relative paths as well. Also you don't have to create a new file as that only slows things down - you should be able to use the code below directly. Snippet would be: [[choice=!|[[FileChoiceFor...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

I can see how that would be useful and you would expect something like [[Choice=!|[[File=C:\Users\Gibbons\Desktop\Test - Modified.txt]]]] to work, but it doesn't at the moment. I will think about how to allow it. But there are some workarounds which you may or may not like. 1 - Using Split + File + ...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

There is now a development branch available that replaces the Loop + Input with the Hotstring() - took me a while to implement. It should work the same as before (hopefully) - this is a first step, once I'm confident this works as it should (e.g. the same) I can add other hotstring features as well ...

Re: I need to find out which specific special character is being copied into the clipboard

Have you actually tried the GetHTML and WinClip? Pretty sure it is html because you say it is online - copying to word won't help to determine it. If you can't be bothered to try gethtml/winclip yet do have a peek in the clipboard using a freeware portable clipboard viewer https://www.nirsoft.net/ut...

Re: Make a word instantly Italic Topic is solved

One huge drawback, however, is that I can't see the 'shortcut' as I would in Sublime 3. For instance, in sublime I just see: "::SUBJECT OR SHORTCODE HERE :: a whole bunch of text. Look at the "short" column here where it says "bold", that is the "hotstring", so in your case it would show "SUBJECT O...

Re: Adapting Hotstring helper for paragraph chunks

If you right click in the editor or use the Plugins menu the first option is "Paste HTML" so if you copy a formatted text which includes the HTML format in the clipboard (not all programs will do that) you can paste the HTML code in the editor Part1 or Part2.

Re: Adapting Hotstring helper for paragraph chunks

1. Lintalist has its own shortcuts https://lintalist.github.io/#KeyboardShortcuts so not quit sure what you're trying to accomplish with the F7 example, if you want a "direct new snippet" keystroke it would have to be something like this (note the sendlevel etc) SetTitleMatchMode, 2 #InputLevel 1 Se...

Re: Make a word instantly Italic Topic is solved

Just in case you haven't seen it, for large(r) text(s) Lintalist might be useful https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3378 - also supports formatted text via html or markdown https://lintalist.github.io/#FormattedText [[html]]<i>italic text</i> Might be a bit slower for short(er) wo...

Re: I need to find out which specific special character is being copied into the clipboard

Let's assume it is HTML you are copying to the clipboard, so when you modify the content it becomes text and all formatting is lost. The trick would be to get the HTML code "as text" into a variable, modify that variable, and set that variable as HTML in the clipboard. For that you need WinClip() - ...

Re: Adapting Hotstring helper for paragraph chunks

That is something I'm working on while moving some older code to the hotstring() function but it is not there yet, although I'm getting closer to having it working. It shouldn't be a problem to use several hotstring script so you can keep on using the one you have AND starting using lintalist for la...

Perhaps lintalist does what you want for larger texts, images, html, md and rtf :)

Re: Store a RTF File on the Clipboard Topic is solved

I would suggest WinClip() - see method 4 listed here https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8977 COM would also be an option if you're working with Word files for example. Finally, if you know HTML or Markdown or use RTF you can also use lintalist :) https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/...

Re: Lost formatting during pasting

Siopaulo as I just added "paste html from clipboard into the editor" in lintalist most of the code was done already, so you can try this. Copy something to the clipboard, press F11 to store it, you can now copy something else to the clipboard and when you need to have the formatted html, press F12 ...

Re: How to use AHK to split a marked text into fraction latex code?

Unrelated but perhaps useful for future readers, you can do it in Lintalist - https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3378 - as well using the Split plugin like so:

Code: Select all

[[split=selected|/]]\frac{[[sp=1]]}{[[sp=2]]}

Re: Lost formatting during pasting

What is the actual source of the content you want to paste? Is it a Word, RTF or HTML file/page? You should probably use more reliable methods, I would suggest WinClip() - see method 4 listed here https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=8977 COM would also be an option if you're workin...
