Glad it works. Wish I had room for 3 monitors haha. Happy scripting! :D

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hm interesting, well you could try a few things like adding "stay" so it doesn’t move away, or "n2" for doing a double click. But maybe the way you were originally doing it is more reliable. If it is clicking in the right spot and the window isn’t responding correctly that’s probably not the best wa...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Thanks for the helpful gifs! So I'm still not completely sure why it wouldn't work but my suggestion would be that for the ribbon one, I generally use the alt keys for those. For instance, in Microsoft Word, if I want to access the ribbon I just press Alt and the accelerator keys show up in little b...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hi daffy82 , sorry but I can't tell you based on what you've posted. Nothing in that code would prevent it from working correctly. A few comments I could give you: k{click} [/color] and Center1 [/color] are not needed. The default behavior is to click at the center of the image. Try using the dx [/c...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hi dice4321 , So the way AutoHotkey's ImageSearch command works, it basically scans the visible screen area for the image, which is essentially the same area that you can see with your two eyes. If the image is hidden behind another window and you can't physically see it, then this won't work. You'd...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Yes Xtra is absolutely correct. If for some reason you don’t have privileges for %A_Temp%, or if you’d simply prefer to use another directory, you can change this line in the code: TempFile = %A_Temp%\%A_ThisFunc%Temp.png ; Directory where a temporary imagefile will be created (ImageSearch only acce...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hm... ErrorLevel is set to 0 if the image was found in the specified region, 1 if it was not found, or 2 if there was a problem that prevented the command from conducting the search (such as failure to open the image file or a badly formatted option). Have you used imagesearch in the past without is...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Can you try some other image in another window? like maybe the solid white background of notepad.exe? If all else fails, look at the step where it says "performing imagesearch". In the text box it should show the actual code used, something along the lines of ImageSearch, FoundX, FoundY, 0, 0, 1919 ...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Really? And the image that pops up under the "image preview" step looks like the area inside the box? You can make the box bigger if you want, but as far as using ImageSearch in general goes I would highly recommend going no larger than about 10x10. The larger an image you have, the more chances the...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Yeah it's because when you hover over the icon it gets blue because the mouse is over it. When you click "Test" the mouse is no longer over it so it looks different. To avoid this, check the box "Allow offset", then pause the update, move the mouse, and unpause it. This will allow you to move the se...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

You're welcome to try it, but personally I doubt it will work. You definitely can go up to 255 but before long you'll be matching everything on the screen. I think people tend to overestimate the usefulness of the "shades of variation" parameter - it's a very simple mathematical operation. By compar...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Oh... :| that throws a big wrench into the works unfortunately. You can use Gdip to rotate images, although I haven't done this personally so I wouldn't be able to tell you how. Also I'd be worried that the rotation wouldn't result in the exact same image that you see on screen. When you perform a c...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hi alesyt0h ! Sure you could do that with a few pretty simple extra steps. You can first create the image with GDI+ then use FindClick with that image once you have it. It would look something like this: ; The image you are looking for will be initially found at (100, 200) relative to the screen and...

Re: [Solved I guess] SetSystemCursor no longer working on Windows 10

Hi Lindice, It has actually started working again from time to time for me. I haven't counted exactly the proportion of time it works, but I'd say probably 50% of the time the cursor is successfully changing, especially after I reboot the computer. Unfortunately I don't see any rhyme or reason to it...

Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

My guess is that you changed the escape character? Via #EscapeChar

If that's the case then find where it says

Code: Select all

PauseHotkey = ``
Also

Code: Select all

HotkeyCompactView = ``
... And change `` to `

Or change it to

Code: Select all

PauseHotkey:= "`"
Or just change the hotkey

Re: Registry Search utility

Thanks SpecialGuest, yeah I’ve used that method in the past. I remember it not working all the time but I don’t recall exactly why. It’s possible I was doing it wrong. It also requires reopening regedit each time but I guess it’s not really a program you need to multitask with. I’ll take a second lo...

Registry Search utility

Some registry search utilities exist, but I wanted to create my own customizeable one because the registry is sensitive and I want to know exactly what the application is doing. Re: FindClick() - ImageSearch, Clicking, & More [Newest Version]

Hi guys, Sorry for the delayed response. Yes you are right that this is not a built-in feature of the function. You'd have to loop it. ImageList := ["image1.png", "image2.png", "image3.png"] For key, ImageFile in ImageList { If FindClick(ImageFile, Options) ; fill in the options { Break } ; Do other...

Re: SetSystemCursor no longer working on Windows 10?

Nope, that code doesn't work for me either :| I was running AHK 1.1.25 and upgraded to 26 just to be safe. On windows, I'm 1 update behind at 15063.502 but either way they're both creator's update.

Guess there's something wrong with my computer then. Thanks for the confirmation! :D
