FileSelectFolder Dialog

The current FileSelectFolder dialog in AHK is a very basic one. On newer Windows systems generally a more feature rich dialog is shown. Maybe with v2 the dialogs of AHK could be 'upgraded'? Just a thought. PS: I searched this and the old forum and was not able to find any related topic. I hope I did...

Re: Excel sorting-issue with variable?

Just a guess but have tried to add % signs around the var?
Since you didn't provided the full ahk code for the Com or Vba commands it might be that the var name gets passed instead of the value. Or maybe ahk doesn't evaluate the var correctly because of the object.style.code.

Just brain dumps

Re: Proposed New GUI API for AutoHotkey v2

The point is to replace the Gui commands with an OOP Gui API that does not have any of the quirks/eccentricities of the old Gui command set; yet retaining familiarity, ease of use and certain aspects of AutoHotkey's Gui implementation. fincs, quite frankly at first I was shocked. It felt in the fir...

Re: Need help willing to pay (if it is not against the rules

I agree that the solution seems to be easy with all the data/info available. But I wonder what the purpose is? It appears to me as a potential security breach. There is a reason that security codes change and that they can only be clicked and not typed. Providing a pseudo code on a webserver that ca...

Re: Digital Chrysalis GUI for FFmpeg

I hope I do not annoy you with my comments, yet. As mentioned before I only want to constructively give some feedback on what I see/think could be improved in the code. One reason for me to do it is that I would like to use the code myself for a video project. For that I might send you a PM to give ...

Re: Digital Chrysalis GUI for FFmpeg

Dear Archamian, Thanks for the considerations. That gives me and other potential users an idea on why this script is beneficial. At least you got me hooked up. You were asking for comments and criticisms in your first post. If you don't mind I would give some comments and suggestions. But I have to ...

Re: ListView Filter

You will have to "store" the data outside of the Listview. And load/show it in the listview with filtering the content (selective LV_Add). When the filter changes, you could remove the content of the listview and refill it (this would keep the order). Or if the filter reduces the content you could g...

Thank you for your recommendations.

Regarding your script:
Does your script have advantages over Eyeframe, ClipToolz (formaly AWPro) or 5DtoRGB?

Re: Digital Chrysalis GUI for FFmpeg

Hi,

The code is not as sloopy as I expected it based on your post.
I quickly scaned over it. It looks sturctured and "readable".

I might have a use for your GUI. I plan to edit some videos file. Which (prefered free) software would you recomment to edit/cut/combine the proxi files?

Re: Many small functions vs. a few large functions

I guess you'll find a lot of "how to program" guidelines on the web. At the end it is you that defines what is good/effective for your code. You might consider - readability/understandability (even after years of not working on it) - maintability - showing flow of data/actions - sharing with other u...

I'm aware that it is still under development and only for testing.

It might work in your environment but in mine I have to copy the files to the "standard" names to switch versions for testing.

Rename executable

I would like to propose/wish to rename the executable on the download side to e.g. AutoHotkeyV2U32 and AutoHotkeyV2U64. The reason is that I'm currently writing a script that helps to change the AHK versions. If the download of V2 and all its future updates would have a distinct filename I could sto...
