Re: User's documents path when run as admin

Hi Kha11, I'm don't think 'A_Documents' exists, but ' A_MyDocuments ' does. Perhaps A_UserName would have the value you're looking for. Or perhaps you could parse the username from the A_ScriptFullPath value. Or as an extreme example you could use RunAs and run a script as that user to return their ...

Re: Making #Esc:: not be sent to the window

Hi cool-BR,

Can you give an example application, I tried it with notpad's open dialog and the '#ESC' didn't close it.
Some applications interact with input in different ways.

Re: Remapping a wired Apple keyboard for Windows

Hi apoluna, Have you tried '*'? * Wildcard: Fire the hotkey even if extra modifiers are being held down. This is often used in conjunction with remapping keys or buttons. For example: *#c::Run Calc.exe ; Win+C, Shift+Win+C, Ctrl+Win+C, etc. will all trigger this hotkey. *ScrollLock::Run Notepad ; Pr...

Re: CoordMode from no active window ?

Hi eL Tux,

Have you considered using WinGetPos to get the position and size of the window and using that as a kind of offset?
I.E. the script knows that the window is at x100 and y250 so it adds 100 to all x values and 250 to all y values.

Re: LButton and priorhotkey

Hi ozzii,

Would not blocking the native function be acceptable?

Code: Select all

#IfWinActive, QuiteRSS ahk_exe QuiteRSS.exe
	~LButton::
		if (a_priorhotkey = "~LButton" && a_timesincepriorhotkey < 200){
			SendInput ^o
			return
		}
	return
#IfWinActive
See Hotkey for info on '~'

Re: Searchable Database???????

Hi TheEnemy,

I would think the Loop, Files and folders would be a place to start.
Then use the A_LoopFileName to check if they match, maybe use RegexMatch if you want it to work with partial filenames.

Re: Remap key only on Bluetooth keyboard

I'm sorry to hear that it breaks Win key combinations, I didn't check those, just the Win key by itself, i.e. that the start menu came up. I was hoping that the 'SendInput {RWin}' would allow the Win key combinations to continue working. But on further thought in makes sense, the hotkey is triggered...

Re: Search a CSV File

can you store all the matches and display them one by one without storing them into a text file (there's no problem with writing them to text, I am just curious to learn other ways) You could put them in a variable, or multiple variables. basically I am trying to put the three parts of the fax numb...

Re: Remap key only on Bluetooth keyboard

Xtonda, Please try out this script, I believe it will work for you with little modification, but I didn't have a 'composite device' so I couldn't test it with one. I was able to use this script to take a certain action only when one of the win keys(LWin/RWin) from a second keyboard were pressed. I u...

Re: Search a CSV File

However I am wondering how do you makes it "pause" to wait for an input before finding the next match. For example, I want to create a GUI with the button "search more" (continue the loop and display fax numbers if any) and "accept"(break the loop)-how would I go about to do so? A lot of people lik...

Re: String action with clipboard in WPF app causing small freeze

Hi IncoKfr,

Have you seen how-to-handle-blocked-clipboard-and-other-oddities?
The link mention an exception but perhaps the situations are similar.

I feel like you might have better luck asking a similar question on a forum that handles whatever language the WPF app was written in.

Re: Windows Explorer is "blocking" Alt-Esc

That... is not really helpful... since the question technically is "how do I get my hotkey to make another window active when explorer is active" I guess I misunderstood I thought the question was: 'Windows Explorer is "blocking" Alt-Esc' I recommend checking to see if the explorer window is the ac...

Re: Basic PixelGetColor Processing Question

Hi yoshistr, Have you tried a general approach like, if x amount of pixels have changed it's more than the mouse moving? Otherwise you might try splitting the output from PixelGetColor in to it's 3 colors and seeing if they are close to their last value. Thirdly, save the image to file and use a thi...

Re: problem getting a dropdown menu to work

I checked using msgbox and the path with the variable looks correct. I manually set the variable like you did and it would work but not with %Variable%. The exact script works for me, the file should be created if it doesn't exist. Perhaps it's a permissions issue, you might try running as admin. I...

Re: problem getting a dropdown menu to work

is this how you find them? fileappend, some text, C:\refill script\STAGING\%Variable%.txt msgbox %ErrorLevel% %A_LastError% if so, they are 1 and 123 respectively As the docs say an Errorlevel of 1 signifies there was a problem, and the A_LastError, when googled told me: ERROR_INVALID_NAME 123 (0x7...
