Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

Haven't read through whole this thread, but I see several forum members do this, and the help file does not mention it. It is clearly possible to combine assignment and comparison within same If statement, and same line. originalValue := 250 newValue := 2 If (originalValue := newValue) MsgBox, If st...

Re: need help pressing a key

Agklover, I spend a couple of minutes wrote a simple code that I believed that would do excact what you asked for. But then I read your question once again and realized that the question is too poorly expressed to just give out one answer that for certain would fullfill what you ask for. Here is the...

Re: Loop pixelsearch problem

Then i need to lurk the answer from you - does it require that all three colors is present or just one? As it stand right now, it doesn't work properly in either case.

Re: Find newest txt file in directory

The "created date" is the time when the file was created (obvious). It differs from "modified date" in the way that it doesn't change when file is overwritten (i.e. you open a file in an editor and hit Save). Also - if you copy the file to an new location - the "created date" will be set to the time...

Re: Loop pixelsearch problem

My problem is that the script keeps doing the sleep 18000 even if it don't find the mob, so I'm trying to make it run the code bellow else statement only when the pixelsearch gives a match Thank you for your help That is because you haven't seen or understood my last post (point 2). Also, it would ...

Insert Tab into code field

Hi. When editing code directly in forum editor, there is no easy way to insert a tab. Workaround is to copy Tab to clipboard and then paste (or can do that by simple script). But that means more work for less, so I suggest a button to insert Tab character into test field. As most web browsers, Firef...

Re: Loop pixelsearch problem

I know you're working on a new script, but I'll point out a couple of problems with the code above: 1. The "if errorlevel" (you don't need to check if different from 0) does only check for the last PixelSearch. If the first PixelSearch gives errorlevel, the if statement would not be able to detect t...

Re: Loop pixelsearch problem

You've stripped away much of the essential parts of the code, but to point you in a direction - I assume the code should be Loop { ;find a mob PixelSearch, MobX, Mo........etc....etc......, 2, Fast if !MobX ; <---- think the error it's here continue else { MobX +=180 MobY +=25 Click down %MobX%, %Mo...

Re: Press key on colour change

I don't know enough about the programs interface that you're using to tell. Anyway I had a case where a programs interface was populated by mouse-access-only buttons, regular mouse click did not work because the program interface wasn't quick enough and also adding a sleep every time was a waste bec...

Re: Cycle Through Characters on Keypress Topic is solved

This will do - insert char when releasing Alt button. #persistent Global charList := { 1 : "a", 2 : "b", 3 : "c", 4 : "d" } #if altButtonStillDown !a:: character := charListCycle(0) ToolTip, Key = %character% Return LAlt up::Send,%character% #If ; Alt+A (first time, or after Alt button is released)b...

Re: Trigger event only once with mouse wheel.

Ok - I think I got it to work. The idea here is to measure the time between two WheelUp actions. after the third WheelUp actio, time is compared between this click and last click, and is compared to the time between last click and the click before. If the time between last two clicks is much longer ...

Re: Trigger event only once with mouse wheel.

Like this (I replaced Send with Soundbeep)? Remember - there is no way I can make the code guess the next delay for the mouse (well yes there is a way, but I don't think it will make the script behave as you want it to). #Persistent wheelup:: soundbeep, 4000, 50 SetTimer, sleepHalfSecond, -500 retur...

Get all text - not limited to WinGetText

Hi. Most windows applications today display some or more text that cannot be retrieved by WinGetText. I do know how to parse a list of controls, but still lack a method to retrieve text from it - or if the text is not included in a specific control. By searching the web, I found that I'm not the fir...

Re: Help with a while loop that stops after last Framemaker file has been closed/saving .fm as .mif

I think you would want the script look something like this: ^y:: ; Skip this loop - it doesn't work directly with files ; while FileExist ("A_LoopFileName") ; runs the loop till the last file is closed ; you need to specify folder too - or the loop will only search the folder where the ahk file is l...

Re: PixelGetColor taking 3 seconds for 64 searches?

After using ahk for a couple of years I have found out that Using PixelGetColor, ImageSearch or PixelSearch on a remote desktop application, is way slower compared to using same/similar code in a windows program that runs on your local computer. If searching inside a box (like yours 8x8), you want t...

Re: SetTimer vs Loop+Sleep

Is SetTimer preferable to loop and sleep, or the other way round? I always use loop and sleep, but it seems most people use SetTimer. It depends. I prefer using timers as "auxiliary functions" - that is reading a pixel, or any task that may take noticeable time - and have a variable to update whene...
