Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

After starting and exiting TypingAid on the PC, did you try copying the folder back to the USB drive (for example, zip up the files and email them to yourself at home, then copy them to the USB)? That might work.

The last version without SQLite is 2.19.9

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

*The USB Drive that contains TypingAid is a read-only drive Well, that's probably your problem. I switched to using SQLite as the database backend a while ago. It writes to the database at times. Do me a favor, try launching TypingAid on a drive that's NOT read only at least once (put it in its own ...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

That's really weird... if you hit Ctrl-Shift-H to open the helper window, does anything appear in that when you type in your programs?

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

2.19.5 and newer can be found here:
https://github.com/ManiacDC/TypingAid/releases

If you need older than than that, please let me know what version, and I can upload it for you.

That being said, please report your issues so I can fix them. 2.22.0 is way more stable than 2.19d.

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

Hi Korka, I'm a bit confused... Visual Studio displays the popup automatically for me (at least in VS2015). What you're saying, though, is that you don't want to see any suggestions unless you hit Ctrl-Space? Basically... words will be computed in the background and even counted, but the box will no...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

Not automatically, no (currently, see below issue), but you can hit Ctrl-Shift-C to add a highlighted word to the wordlist.

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

You'd have to modify the script. I'd pick a hotkey that you don't mind leaving enabled (maybe ctrl-enter) and duplicate the code for ctrl-enter everywhere. That or you could replace the code for a hotkey you'll never use.

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

Can you specify the free and good ones? URL and name please. I can't find the good and free ones. Although I am not a programmer, I think creating such a list based on Google search results should not be that difficult. Obviously 1200 English Words Weighted By Frequency is too small for serious wri...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

I'm not sure I understand your question? The autocomplete list does open underneath the word, except in apps that don't allow me to get the cursor position (many browsers, openoffice, etc). You can use a helper window if you don't like the cursor method. I would look through the code and duplicate t...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

if you delete WordlistLearned.db and put the contents of Wordlist.txt into WordlistLearned.txt, it will (very) gradually re-order by frequency.

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

DeepMind, sounds like you need a Wordlist.txt, or paste the contents of a Wordlist.txt into WordlistLearned.txt (and delete WordlistLearned.db). TypingAid doesn't automatically install a wordlist.

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

1. In Wordlist.txt, yes, it's a hardcoded order. WordlistLearned is NOT a hardcoded order... it will rearrange based on frequency and length. Close the program, rename/delete Wordlist.txt AND WordlistLearned.db, populate WordlistLearned.txt, and relaunch. Over time, your words will be re-ordered bas...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

Hi DyNama... glad you enjoy it! You can use any of the terminating keys you want. I normally just hit the left arrow key (followed by the right) or the esc key. One caveat: This could cause the word to be learned (depending on your settings).

If you want to use a wordlist, simply copy it into the same folder as the exe/script and name it "wordlist.txt".
