Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

1. I think it will improve the learning curve for the beginner. 2. It will be better to have "translation" to ^ + ... <> != , but currently there is no references to ^ + ... <> != so the beginner can't even reach the relevant place in the help ("Sending Keystrokes", "Assignment Operators", "Expressi...

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

One more thing.
This HelpTool should also "translate" the meaning of syntax parts like:
^
+
{Esc}
::
:=
<>
!=
It seems you can't currently do it by the trick above.
How a beginner user can understand the meaning of those syntax parts?! There is no reference (links) to help for those syntax parts.

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

@swagfag Thanks. I tried the ahk code. It didn't work for me. It does open the AutoHotkey Help (as administrator? why? I get the UAC each time), but it doesn't open the desired keyword. It always opens the default "HomePage". Anyway, this idea already exists and is called Go To Definition, in your e...

Re: An idea for improving the learning curve

I tried to find, but I think I need more detailed instructions, how to get>install>use this feature.
It's better if we get someone who is already using this.

Re: Bug in Send Command

What is the Hebrew shortcut key for pasting? Is it Ctrl+v or is it Ctrl+ה? Ctrl+v No one says Ctrl+ה. All say Control C Control V. This is also formally: https://snag.gy/pGZCxd.jpg It is less important what the developer meant to, it is more important how AHK community interpreted the use of Send, ...

Re: Bug in Send Command

This is by design. You asked it to send a 'v', so it sent a 'v'. If you want that key regardless of which printable character it produces, send the appropriate vk or sc code (probably vk56). Hi lexikos, and thank you for your reply. I have to say that IMHO this behaviour must not be like this by de...

Re: AutoGUI - GUI Designer and Script Editor

Questions: How to: 1. Set AutoGUI work with portable AHK version 2. Make controls relative (when resize window) 3. Make menu editable to user (good also for Langs translations) 4. RTL - Make ui/menu RTLed 5. Also, is there a way to give the RTL translator the control to set each control LTRed/RTLed?...

Re: Pulover's Macro Creator v5.0.5 - The Complete Automation Tool

I get like 40 dialog-boxes like the above, one by one, before the program appear. It doesn't matter what the Keyboard Input is when starting Pulover's Macro Creator, it always switch the Keyboard Input to He (Hebrew), and showing the #1 Dialog-Box. But... leaving it on Hebrew Keyboard Input, making...

Re: AHK isn't detecting the keys in my layout correctly

1. Sorry, I don't understand. 2. I tested on my W7 x64 Hebrew. Re: AHK isn't detecting the keys in my layout correctly

sc010::msgbox,שלום וברכה The problem to use this method: 1. Of course, "sc010" is much less intuitive, and requires more letters to type and remember. 2. IMPORTANT - Compatibility - Almost every script in forum can be considered broken for me. You can't use it like that. https://autohotkey.com/boar...

Re: AHK isn't detecting the keys in my layout correctly

I think it would be better not to use the word "layout". Let's use "Keyboard input". You shouldn't make AHK like this. The hotkey should be launched, no matter what the "Keyboard input" is. It's very simple to me. For example: Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V (Copy/Paste). In Hebrew OS (and I think this is the way...

Bug in Send Command

I'm using 2 Keyboard Input Languages: English, Hebrew. I make AHK script like this: ^2:: Send, {Control Down}{v}{Control Up} Sleep, 1000 When I run the script and press Ctrl+2: It depends on my Keyboard Input Language at that time: If Keyboard Input Language = English, then it works (=Paste). But if...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

If there is no book, the user has no choice but to learn by "looking for solutions" method. Now that I'm thinking about it... years ago I had an idea, which if had been implemented then, I think my progress in AHK and my skills now would have been completely different. https://autohotkey.com/boards...
