[v2] Converting numbers to binary - revised

For those who are also looking for a number (i.e. decimal or hex) to binary converter for AHK V2, I've updated polyethene's toBin() for my use:

Debugging: AHK decimal vs. spy tools hex

In cases where AHK stores hwnd as decimal (which I believe is always in V2), what are you gurus who are using debuggers and spy tools using to easily convert between decimal and hex? e.g. I'm using SciTE4AHK and Spy++/Control Viewer Spy++/Control Viewer display hwnd in hex, but SciTE4AHK is displayi...

Re: [a105] index/element [1] goes missing Topic is solved

Argh!! I'm not sure whether this is a SciTE4AHK problem, or where the problem lies. SciTE4AHK shows the index goes missing , but msgbox confirms the element is still intact as you've (rather adamantly) stated! I'm experiencing the same behavior with Map objects. I understand that Lexikos uses SciTE4...

[a105] index/element [1] goes missing Topic is solved

Code: Select all

Item1 := "aaa"
Item2 := "bbb"
ItemN := "nnn"
MyArray := Array(Item1, Item2, ItemN)
MyArray.Item2 := "XXX" ; Creates property "Item2" but index/element [1] goes missing

Re: WinMove [AutoHotkey_1.1.29.00] Topic is solved

Thanks and so glad this is fixed. But I still find that AHKv1 and Windows 10 disagree on which monitor is which :) Per Windows Display settings: Monitors are laid out as: 3 2 1 Per Sysget: 2 3 1 AHK seems to switch monitors 2 and 3 (or W10 is switching it?): Monitor1name \\DISPLAY1 Monitor1 Work Are...

ListView property for "Rows of Height"?

Not finding anything in AHK forum/AHK documentation or Windows API: Is there a way to determine how many rows of height a ListView is configured for? e.g. LV := Gui.Add("ListView", "r20 w700", "Name|Size (KB)") Is there a property that will tell me that 20 rows will fit in the Listview ("r20")? Or s...

v2 Feature Request: LV.ModifyCol( , "AutoHdr" )

Since LV.ModifyCol() adjusts all column widths to width of column contents, I think it would be great if LV.ModifyCol( , "AutoHdr" ) would adjust column widths to widest of Column Header and Column Contents (instead of having to loop through each column with "AutoHdr" option).

Re: ControlGetText Issues

I'm thinking this control is not a standard Windows Control and might be this: TButtonedEdit_(Delphi)

Can anyone make sense of this and suggest whether or not I can get/set the text in this control from within AHK?

Re: ControlGetText Issues

CyLON: I entered "asdf" into the edit box and tried:

Code: Select all

ControlClickByControlText(searchStr:="asdf", controlName:="TButtonedEdit1", winTitle:="UltraSearch",passes:=1)
Your script didn't respond with anything...

Re: ControlGetText Issues

Thanks sinkfaze: the control is listed, but no text. Just to clarify, this control is / appears to be an edit box. The only unusual (visible) aspect is that when I type text into the box, a warning icon overlaps the right edge of the box (to warn that searching for text is a slow process). Note that...

Re: ControlGetText Issues

Thanks CyLON. I tried your script but didn't get a result (including for controls that ControlGetText() work on. Maybe I'm doing something wrong (I didn't know what to use for searchStr): ControlClickByControlText(searchStr, controlName:="TButtonedEdit1", winTitle:="UltraSearch",passes:=1) I tried s...

Re: ControlGetText Issues

... programs can block you from pulling text I'm having a similar problem: Works on some controls but not on others. Would seem odd that the program is intentionally blocking the text (UltraSearch, ClassNN = "TButtonedEdit1"; works fine on the other controls in that window). Any thoughts on how to ...

Re: AHK V2 Bug: Pause toggle not working Topic is solved

Understanding Pause was way more complicated than I expected (due to my ignorance). It took a bit of testing on my part. Posting my test code in case it is of use to others who were as confused as I was. My notes relate to a debug session in SciTE4AutoHotkey: 3 ways to pause/unpause: 1) #p:: using "...

AHK V2 Bug: Pause toggle not working Topic is solved

Per documentation:
#p::Pause ; Pressing Win+P once will pause the script. Pressing it again will unpause.

Code: Select all

#p::Pause
Pauses the thread but won't unpause when I press #p again.
