Re: Custom Function Documentation using SciTE

Funny you should mention that. I don't think one exists, but I've been sort of outlining how to do this for this and some other editors. When I get some free time, I'll put some more effort into it. I have one approach almost working this editor. Have to get past one issue to get a simple one working.

Re: User Input - Multiple Guis

What do you mean by a "pre-gui"? You just want the user to be able to enter a string of characters? Why not use the InputBox command?

Re: ImageSearch keep scanning for image Topic is solved

This should work. You should be able to remove the MouseMove statements, but they don't hurt. I don't see $stop doing anything, so I assume there is more to the script. Otherwise, you can remove that part. Numpad4:: $stop := 0 Loop { Sleep, 500 if ($stop) return MouseMove, 1370, 385 click, 1370 385 ...

Re: Copy filepath to clipboard in Windows Explorer

The method T-Rock mentioned also works if you select multiple files. I've used that to get a list of all files in a directory. And if I don't want the path, I can use an editor's find/replace all, then I have just the file names. (And do the same to get rid of the quotation marks.)

Re: Tri Monitor Switch

The error is because there needs to be a space before a semicolon for it to be interpreted as a comment. So you need to add a space before the ; . Same on the next line. But more importantly, your tweaks don't make sense even if you correct the comment syntax. What are you trying to accomplish by ch...

Re: Tri Monitor Switch

I suggest you run the following script and move your mouse pointer to the left edge of each monitor and tell us what value it shows for each one:

Code: Select all

CoordMode, Mouse, Screen
Loop
{
	MouseGetPos, ScrX
	ToolTip, % ScrX
	Sleep, 50
}
return

Esc::ExitApp

Re: Tri Monitor Switch

Basically you're saying that each time you press control+alt+4, move the active window one monitor to the left. Each time you press control+alt+6 move it one monitor the right. Is that correct? That's a lot easier to program than having to do nothing until you see if another 4 or 6 is coming before ...

Re: Distinguish between File and text in clipboard

You could read the whole file into a variable by using a FileRead. How you actually identify the file to read just by having your cursor over it when you press Win-c is another problem to be addressed. There's probably a good way to do it, but I don't know off the top of my head. Maybe someone else ...

Re: Distinguish between File and text in clipboard

When you say "This would require me to save it, right?", you only need to assign that text to a variable. You don't have to save it to a file if you're going to make use of it (paste it) while your script is still running. What do you mean "only if I actually selected files in a folder and not text"...

This won't show the message box until some other key other than just modifier keys are pressed.

Code: Select all

Gui, Show

HkChange:

Re: Internet Explorer Winset command list

WinSet changes attributes and styles of a window. It seems you are looking to change what a program (IE) does within that window. WinSet doesn't change how a program operates (what it fills the window with). As an example, WinSet can change an MS Word window to be semi-transparent (that's a window a...

This tutorial thread is about about ternary operators for performing logic on a single line, so it shouldn't be derailed on a different subject. Please create a new thread in "Ask For Help" for your question.

I suggest the mods delete these last two posts from this thread.

I didn't think to check to see if it was a general AHK issue. Sorry to wrongly attribute it to your fine program. :)

Re: Script running a hotkey that i didn't press

You need to end a hotkey code block with a return. You have the return inside the while loops, so it will only occur if the loop is executed. If you happen to press one of the hotkeys so briefly that it is no longer down when it encounters the while statement, it will skip the loop and continue exec...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

Here's what I found after a lot of experimenting. In response to your questions: 1: I have not tried to use hotstrings from a different AHK script at the same time as Lintalist until just very recently (last few days). 2: I was using Insert as the search hotkey, but it exhibits the same behavior usi...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

I've encountered an issue when trying to use Lintalist while also using another AHK script with hotstrings. Hotkeys don't cause any problems, but the first time I use a hotstring from my other script, then my Lintalist activation key doesn't work (my activation key is not related to my hotstring at ...
