Re: Loop Break when copying an empty cell in Excel

That makes sense, but this should work then: F12:: Loop { suspend Send, {Alt Down} Sleep 100 Send, {Tab} Sleep 100 Send, {Alt Up} send, {Down} Clipboard := "" send, ^c ClipWait if (Clipboard = "`r`n") break Send, {Alt Down} Sleep 100 Send, {Tab} Sleep, 100 Send, {Alt Up} send, ^v Sleep, 100 send, {E...

Re: Loop Break when copying an empty cell in Excel

There are a number of things I would do to make the script more reliable, but to add only what you asked: F12:: Loop { suspend Send, {Alt Down} Sleep 100 Send, {Tab} Sleep 100 Send, {Alt Up} send, {Down} Clipboard := "" send, ^c ClipWait if (Clipboard = "") break Send, {Alt Down} Sleep 100 Send, {Ta...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

My script doesn't recognize when it's not transparent. All it does is check to see if it's moving, and it keeps applying the transparent attribute to it after it sees it is in a new location. If I make it work for any window, it will do so for any window that you move, whether it was originally tran...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

It's probably working intermittently because it stops trying to change it to transparent when it stops moving, and then sometimes the last thing that happens is your 3rd party program changes it back, depending on the timing. So this version waits a half second after each time it detects it's in a n...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

The script I posted was written to work with a particular window, and you would need to change the script to add the window title, as it pointed out. Did you change "MyWindowTitle" in the line below before using it? What did you change it to? If you didn't, that's why it didn't work. You should chan...

This lets you enter the numbers you want each time you run it. First the sum, then how many numbers. global n,o,sum InputBox, sEntry, Sum Solver, Enter the desired sum number:,, 236, 136 InputBox, iEntry, Sum Solver, Enter how many numbers are to be added:,, 309, 131 Loop, %iEntry% MsgBox % A_Index ...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

@op: If the above code doesn't work, then try the redraw by replacing Tranparent with Redraw and remove the 150. Don't remove any commas, just the 150 itself.

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

There is a redraw. I'm just saying that there shouldn't be a minus in front of it.

Edit: ...oh, I get what you mean now. Not sure, but that could be worth trying.

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

The best way to learn is to go through the tutorial and try writing some scripts, so hopefully you'll still do that. It would be a good exercise for you to walk through the script below and explain what's happening with each line and how the script executes. #Persistent SetTimer, MonitorWindow, 100 ...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

Look at the SetTimer and WinGetPos commands and the Attribute parameter of the WinSet command named Redraw . Read the discussion in the documentation about that for some alternatives in case that doesn't work. I don't think it should be -Redraw , by the way. The - is for when you want to remove an a...

SirRFI wrote: Left is proper, using Windows End Of Line characters (EOL, \r\n). Right is Unix EOL style (\n), creating random groups.
Is there a way to fix it?
Are you saying it used to work with both cases but now it doesn't if the EOL is only \n? Can you re-save your files so it has both?

Re: Detect When Cursor Over Particular Window

@Almost_there, FYI: You don't need a custom function for determining if Firefox is the active window. You can just use WinActive("ahk_class MozillaWindowClass") . It will return the hwnd of the window (which will be interpreted as true) if it is active and will return 0 if not. @op: You generally do...

Re: How to make individual windows transparent and remain so after moving them?

Does it happen with any window or only a specific window? Open a new Notepad window and run the script below. Does it lose its trasparency? It stays transparent for me, both when the script moves it and when I move it by dragging it. WinGet, ID, ID, Untitled - Notepad WinSet, Transparent, 150, ahk_i...

Re: Looking for help find string in text file and renaming that file Topic is solved

This renames the file to whatever text immediately follows "New file name: " (including the space after the colon) in the file. Of course, all the characters that follow need to be a valid file name. Make sure that's the case. Some checking could be added to make sure that it's valid. FileRead, Cont...

Re: How to update AHK properly?

Are you so unaware that you don't know saying "maybe the AHK devs could just do their job" about people who are doing this for free is a real douchey move? Who would want to listen to anyone that clueless? Calling you out on it is not being a fanboy, it's being a human. Try to act like one.
