Re: Win10Move() - deceptive WinMove - move window based on what is visible ;)

Looks like it's meant to move the window to be so there's no gap when moved to 0,0. It does not do that on my Win10 machine. There's about a 5 to 10 pixel gap from the left edge.

Re: DoReMe song, All together.

I don't think it's possible to have multiple SoundBeeps playing simultaneously like you can with audio files. If you want that, I suggest recording a wav file of each note played 10 times so you can use SoundPlay as tidbit suggested. The best you could do with SoundBeep (as far as I know) is to inte...

Re: DoReMe song, All together.

Or perhaps even though your code showed 10 beeps being played when you press one of the buttons, that's not what you really wanted.

Re: DoReMe song, All together.

Yes, but "whatsoever happens after it" can happen several different ways even if it's fire and forget. Your routine for playing the beeps is 10 short beeps when you press one of the buttons. If you press another button before all 10 beeps are played, do you want all the beeps to be interleaved, or a...

Re: DoReMe song, All together.

I still don't understand. When you press the Do button, you want it to play 10 short Do beeps, right? But if you press Re before it's finished with those 10 beeps, you want it to interleave the Re beeps with the remaining Do beeps?

Re: DoReMe song, All together.

Not sure I'm understanding what you want. This is how I interpreted what you're looking to do. Stack := [] Gui, Add, Text, vDo Gui, Add, Text, vRe Gui, Add, Text, vMe Gui, Add, Button,, Do Gui, Add, Button,, Re Gui, Add, Button,, Me Gui, Show Loop for key, Note in Stack { Play(Note) Stack.Remove(key...

Re: Fastest way to replace text?

I routinely use StringReplace with variables that contain thousands of characters.

Re: Fastest way to replace text?

Instead of looping, can't you just read it all into one variable and do a StringReplace...All on the whole thing for each piece of text to be replaced? That would be very fast.

Re: Fastest way to replace text?

StringReplace is faster than RegExReplace.

Re: How to pass variable to hotkey?

Use the Hotkey command to identify the label to go to when a certain hotkey is pressed.

btw, this thread should be under Ask For Help.

Re: Problem with updating GUI

Define the width of the text control to the widest that it can be (e.g., w100). Otherwise, the width of the control becomes the width of the original text.

Try Courier New (a True Type font) instead of Courier.

Re: What's wrong with my or statement

What's not working about it? If clip5 is not a space or clip4 does not contain the same value of clip5, then the first one evaluates as true. If both clip4 and clip5 are a space, then it is false. Perhaps the logic is incorrect for what you are trying to achieve.

Re: Problem Using COM to set text in Username Topic is solved

You're not really using COM when you use ControlFocus and ControlSetText. You want to assign the contents of that field by identifying an element in the DOM, whether it's by ID or whatever. You don't get that info by using the window spy but rather by looking at the HTML source, using the DOM explor...

Re: Filenames - quotation marks or no quotation marks?

When you're passing a literal string (rather than a variable that contains the string) as an argument in a function call, you use expression syntax, which requires it to be in quotes. If you were to use the literal string in a command like FileReadLine, then it requires you to use "traditional" synt...

Re: What does Gui +hwndBlahBlah +LastFound do exactly?

The GUI window will have it's hwnd stored in the variable named BlahBlah. In the AHK commands where you can specify a WinTitle , you can identify the window as ahk_id %BlahBlah% . By using +LastFound , you don't need to specify a title at all in subsequent windowing commands. If you have nothing els...
