Re: Disable Warnings for currently unset keys

Thank you for your thoughtful reply; there's a lot I can learn from it. I hadn't been aware of boundfunc objects; they look indeed like a great way to reduce rote repetition in a case like this. If I understand it correctly, I will still need the individual OriginKey:: entries for each (which are no...

Wouldn't it make more sense to post them in the Scripts and Functions forum, rather than here in the "Offtopic" forum?

Re: AHKathon! [AHK Hackathon] 12/17

I wonder how many people share it ... I would have shared it if at least two of the following three conditions were met:(1) if this were a prestigious award, (2) if it cost me a big effort, and (3) if I couldn't trust the judge. For me, neither is true in this case: It's just a harmless event with ...

Re: AHKathon! [AHK Hackathon] 12/17

Such rules are actually ... OK, it seems it's time for a serious discussion. When you write "actually", do you actually have anything to back up your claim, such as a scientific study or some concrete real-life experience, or is it just your gut feel? Or do you mean that you yourself are feeling de...

Oh, don't worry about that, Capn Odin, there's always rule #5; that sounds like a good enough reason to invoke it. :lol:

Continuation line for associative array Topic is solved

How can I split an associative array into several lines? The following (using Method #1 tells me the "}" is missing: array := { ten: 10 , twenty: 20 , thirty: 30 } Method #2 expects the elements to be a recognized action: array := { ten: 10 , twenty: 20 , thirty: 30 } As Method #2 actually prescribe...

Re: add pause on/off with a key Topic is solved

What exactly do you want the script to do, and what's your problem? What do you mean by "option Pause On / off", what by "my program" (This script or an existing program?) and what by "the key Insert keyboard"?

Re: Shortcut to a an ahk script in chrome, or as a bookmarklet Topic is solved

You can compile an AHK script to an executable, so wherever you can run an exe, you can run the script. Only difference to the button trigger is that it runs the whole script.

Re: Newbie needs help with script

Using SendInput is generally a good suggestion, but it should work either way. It's hard to reproduce your problem for a number of reasons: It relies on the behavior of another program, and one, that apparently, you already changed, since Alt-x does nothing in my version of MS Word. Related to the p...

Re: Snapping Windows Left and Right

Thanks, Exaskryz, for making us aware of the meaning of DownTemp. Regarding your quote, I have one question: If one uses Send #{Right Down} , until when is the Right key down if it isn't followed by Send #{Right Up} ? I don't see that made explicit in the documentation. Specifically for other keys i...

Re: Snapping Windows Left and Right

Presumably DownTemp is a variable name. So you need to enclose it in % signs. What is it set to? You wrote the comment next to {Rwin Up}: "this was necessary bc the Rwin was getting stuck". Yes, if you just send {Rwin Down}, you need to send {Rwin Up} at some time, or else the key will remain presse...

Re: How to reset an array

Have you looked at ComObjArray()? The first example there has a loop accessing all elements, which you can use as a model, giving the following:

Code: Select all

Loop % arr.MaxIndex() + 1
   arr[A_Index-1] := VT_NULL
But I'm not sure whether null is the default; where did you get that information?

I don't know what "spam buffs etc" means and I found no definition for the expression; a quick search gives me such results as https://forum.thesettlersonline.net/threads/15285-Buff-mail-spam , which sounds like part of playing a game to me. Thank you for your quick answer. For me, this closes this topic, and I would mark your reply with the checkmark, if I could. Great! Can you please write the solution here and mark the thread as "solved" (with the little button with a checkmark) so that future readers who come here with the same question can learn from you? it probably would be a good idea to add the solution (or a reference to it) to the thread where you ...
