Re: WinRing0 - Send keys in Hardware-Level

Still can't get this to work. Win7x64. I tried loading with x32 and x64 AHK, verified they were loading the x64 .sys file in both cases, and verified the Class_WinRing0 routines were being called correctly by putting tooltip indicators into the routines (i.e., simple confirmation that those routines...

Re: MouseMover: Pixel-Perfect Pointer Precision!

Those particular frequencies are musical notes... C & G... probably copy/pasted somewhere else vs. coded from scratch.

Re: Someone needs to write a keyboard driver for AHK.

I wonder if this would be a jumping off point for doing a hardware driver.

Re: Fullscreen Remote Desktop...

I like your idea and may have to try it. I've used VNC as well as RDP, so there's not always a universal way for me to get back to host. There are a few different methods I've used in the past. One was bidirectional shared-clipboard transfer with scripts running on both ends to pass messages back an...

Re: WinRing0 - Send keys in Hardware-Level

I am interested in getting this to work, but so far no luck. Below are a few questions and improvements that could be made if you so choose. It appears the dll and sys files need to be in the path of the compiled exe (Do they have to be? wondering if they could be referenced somewhere else, which I'...

Re: Closing Internet Explorer Tabs using a COM object

Disregard that last post. "if (w.Hwnd = hwnd)" was failing as stated, but apparently because w.Hwnd was invalid for some of the items returned (and apparently for the first one returned in this case). Adding a try statement to weed out the errors gives me the proper tab count as needed.

Re: Closing Internet Explorer Tabs using a COM object

I'm getting 0x80004005 - Unspecified Error after checking object.hwnd... looks like ComObjCreate("Shell.Application").Windows is returning null. Same result with other similar code. Win7x64 with IE11 running at the time of execution. I'll have to look into this and see why it's not returning an obje...

Closing Internet Explorer Tabs using a COM object

I am looking for a possible way to do one and/or both of the following: Close an IE tab programmatically Be able to detect that only one tab is left open after all others close (so as not to close the last tab and therefore the window) This is a basic option in other browsers, but not in IE so far a...

Re: Detect and close Windows process

I may have to try this for identifying the process ID. Killing by name does not always work, even with the correct name. As to where this background process is coming from, you can also check the services settings (if it is launched or re-launched as a service) as well as Task Scheduler tasks (the m...

Re: AutoHotKey script for ms excel to automatically send a value to a cell

Put the balance in column D for the whole column (i.e., a running total down column D) then filter column A (using the data tools) to show only entries for "Cash". The table will collapse down and show only cash entries along with the corresponding balance in column D.

Thank you... I didn't realize most of the settings could be changed using that method. That appears to have worked.

OnMessage() Events for other windows

I have been searching through various scripts and examples to try and find a way to do the following: Notification of Maximize/Minimize/Close events from other windows (not just the script's own window) Intercept those events in such a way that they can be cancelled (i.e., implemented with a custom ...

Method to disable update checks in Scite4ahk

One of my dev machines sits behind a company firewall that blocks outgoing http requests for non-registered programs (i.e., in this case, Scite4ahk), but instead of returning null on an http request (and forcing the browser to timeout), the firewall will immediately return a user-friendly web page. ...
