Re: Downloading a file not working?

Nice... bet it works faster that way, I'll test it when I have a chance.

I still don't understand why doing RawWrite(hObject.ResponseBody, ...) or RawWrite(uBytes, ...) or RawWrite(&uBytes, ...) doesn't work.

Re: Downloading a file not working?

I couldn't get it work either trying all kinds of things... there is hopefully a very simple solution that someone will be able to post. This is the only thing I could get working--awful and slow--write one byte at a time vs. the entire buffer. ; Test code urlDownloadToFile("https://autohotkey.com/d...

Nice kon... :bravo:

I didn't realize you could launch a new window using the display method... definitely going to use that in the future.

Re: new Contact instance of Outlook

To get a new instance of Outlook with a folder loaded you will probably have to launch another Outlook instance (i.e., use start or run command) and then navigate to that folder programmatically. What do you mean by a "customized view"? How would you normally customize the view?, i.e., what about it...

Re: SciTE4AutoHotkey v3.0.06.01 [Updated October 12 2014]

I don't think SciTE is running multi-threaded, so when an AutoHotkey script is running it can't simultaneously launch the help file or other external applications--my guess anyway. The help file workaround works by launching the help file from another thread. For multi-file search, the dialog loads ...

Re: Script that triggers keystrokes in a given window

I've had various luck with ControlSend (all my fault I'm sure). Sometimes you can send to the main window handle and get results vs. sending to the control handle. You may need to try work on a specific test case that can be reduplicated or something where you can post specifics in order to get help...

Re: Script that triggers keystrokes in a given window

If the window isn't active do you need it to stay not active? Or is it ok for your purposes to activate the window first and then send the keystrokes? If the window isn't active but you don't mind activating it, you can use WinActivate and WinWaitActive . Using ControlSend to keep the window in the ...

Re: SciTE4AutoHotkey v3.0.06.01 [Updated October 12 2014]

@rommmcek: Brilliant  I would have never thought of that or had the patience to go code it since I know the workaround is to just break and start help, or restart SciTE and start help, but that little gem is nice. Now, if only I could use the "Find in Files" function the same way (Ctrl+Shif...

Right-Double-Click to Close SciTE Search Results

This function closes search results in SciTE without having to select 'Hide' from the right-click menu. Just double-right-click on the search results instead. Since position 8 is 'Close' in the edit window, it will also close a file if a double-right-click is performed on the SciTE file editing wind...

Re: xlFindLastCell() - Find last non-empty cell in Excel

So does this find the last cell with something in it, whereas UsedRange finds the last cell equivalent to hitting Ctrl+End in Excel?

Re: Script that triggers keystrokes in a given window

For windows programs that use standard menus (i.e., not the Ribbon interface), you can use WinMenuSelectItem. For your example, trying to send Alt by itself probably sends Alt down and Alt up. You would probably want to send !f, sleep 100 and then send x. In cases where it actually does need to be s...

Re: Draw a colored outline on a GUI Topic is solved

Wow!!! These are both great... exactly what I was hoping to find. :bravo: The GuiAddBorder function is especially easy to use since I can give it a return value of the text control handle and subsequently modify the border or turn it on/off... almost too easy to use, although I would have never drea...

MS Office Backstage Detection / Detect ClassNN by (X, Y)

Looking for a way to reliably detect Office Backstage view in Microsoft Office 2010+. It happens that Backstage view causes NetUIHWND1 control to blanket the entire window... is there a way to retrieve the ClassNN of a control by a position? This would be one possible way to have a solid indicator t...

Draw a colored outline on a GUI [Solved] Topic is solved

Anyone have a pointer on the easiest way I might draw a colored outline on a GUI?

i.e., looking to draw a generic colored box or border around several controls, maybe similar to this http://blogs.sitepointstatic.com/images ... rs-box.png

Re: Autohotkey is slow in Office 2016 applications

It's slow because Office slows it down or animates it. You can try this link: http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/offic ... on-disable

I have still resorted to the paste method for long strings of text, even with animations off.
