Re: playsound and overlay text

How long is the image around for? Does your 1.wav file have some silence or very low volume in the beginning? Try using a MsgBox instead of SoundPlay for testing. MsgBox should be reliably instantaneous. (As an aside, you don't need the CoordMode inside of the Loop command; once it's set for that th...

Re: If color, click Topic is solved

As event mentioned, MouseMove and PixelGetColor are viable commands. You may just need MouseClick / Click if you require a click and not just hovering over the pixel each time. PixelGetColor is probably the best answer in this case, although it is capable of checking the color without the mouse ther...

Hotstrings option for requiring a preceding alphanumeric

I just ran into an issue with a weird hotstring, where I could not think of a workaround. I think it could be better handled wiħ native support by hotstrings options. :cz?*: t:: t :cz?*: T:: T :c?*:th::ħ The intention is that for any instance of th, except at the beginning of the word, it would be w...

Re: Hotstring E(xecute) vs E(nd chars), Hotkey directives Topic is solved

I favor the X for eXecute, I had thought about that when I read the first couple of sentences. One idea that struck me was, since we define options in between the first two colons of a hotstring, is it at all possible or worthwhile (if v2 is scrapping colon hotkey/hotstring syntax? I haven't kept up...

Re: Linearly weighted random?

I haven't studied formal mathematics since high school, so... But here's what I would do: Loop { Random, x, -20, 20 Random, y, -20, 20 distance:=sqrt(x**2 + y**2) ; max distance is sqrt(800) = 28.28... random, weight, 1, 1000 weight:=weight**0.48 ; max value is 27.54 when 1000^0.48 If (distance > we...

Ya gotta tell us what's not working. The script behaves exactly as coded.

I would guess because you forgot the %s in your SendInput command, depending on what your use case is?

Re: Current Hour & Current Minute

You may be interested in using FormatTime to process the current time (read the documentation, if you don't pass in an acceptable value, it defaults to using the current time) into a structure of Hour, Minute, and AM/PM as you need.

Re: Does PixelSeach update the pixel Location by itself or does it "lock" the pixel location the moment it is found?

My understanding of PixelSearch is it store one static value into the x/y variables even if that pixel is moving on screen. I don't know if PixelSearch "freezes" the screen into memory and then searches that, or if it will ask "in real time" "What is at pixel 1,1? Pixel 1,2? Pixel 1,3? Pixel 1,4? .....

Re: mouse/touch click??

You'd need to make your hotkey multiline, such as: q:: Click, 100, 100 Click, 200, 100 return You may need to put a Sleep between the clicks. As a bonus, you may be interested in using WinSet to set the window to be AlwaysOnTop , then you can click on another window without worrying about your progr...

Re: mouse/touch click??

I'm not sure, hopefully someone familiar with the app can help you. It looks like a simple GUI designed/skinned to look fancy, so you might look at using Window Spy to identify a Control Value for the Next/Previous controls to use in the command ControlClick . (This would not move the normal mouse c...

Re: mouse/touch click??

You might be interested in Window Spy which can be accessed by right-clicking the tray icon (by the system clock) of a running script. The only way that I imagine the mouse moving, if you're doing only Click commands in AHK, is if the window itself is moving as a result of being clicked. Would be od...

Re: Text highlighter using Gdip

If you restrict scrolling input to be one input method, it could work. You could figure out the calibration dynamically in the script, or hard code it depending on the program you're using. Dynamic would be better because you could be working at different zoom levels. I don't have any example code u...

Re: Text highlighter using Gdip

is it possible to move the highlighted parts together with mouse scrolling? That's going to get problematic, but not impossible. I don't think AHK is going to be the right tool for you. Re: #Include scripts breaks

Does the OnExit routine actually do anything? Imagine how the script is exited without a hotkey dedicated to it. The user would be interacting to either open task manager and likely navigate it with mouse or right click the tray icon to exit. I expect a user is not going to be doing that within 250 ...

Is this program run with administrator privileges? Your script would also need to be run with admin permissions. (Right click the script, select "Run as Administrator".)

Re: Send keys (functions) to specific window

Change the ControlSend, ahk_id to ControlSend, ahk_ parent or leave it blank. I wouldn't expect ahk_id to be a value that works for a Control parameter. But beyond those two choices, I don't know what you'd need. You'd probably have to find what other people have used in trying to use ControlSend (o...

Re: Send keys (functions) to specific window

Each of your Send/Input lines should be replaced with ControlSend . ControlSend [, Control, Keys, WinTitle, WinText, ExcludeTitle, ExcludeText] The base line syntax for you would be: ControlSend, ????, % obj[r], World of Warcraft Of course change % obj[r] to {Enter} and w in their respective lines. ...

Re: sending a period

You need a space or command between your command and the first parameter. Send. is nonsensical to AHK; Send . works just fine. I just tested and even Send,. works too. If you want to send to Chrome as an inactive window, you'd need to look at ControlSend . But you shouldn't need ControlSend if Chrom...
