Re: Gui default Enter

I like your solution. Thanks! It's even better than what I was striving for. :-) Solves my immediate problem wonderfully. The idea of the subroutine was to prevent the auto update (of all fields) while the user was entering data. Your solution, simply skipping update on the field being edited is muc...

Gui default Enter

I'm having troubles with the "default Enter" in a GUI. The following code works as expected: Pressing ENTER while in an edit field activates the OKAY button. Pressing ESC executes the hotkey definition. All is well. However, when I add one more field ( "tiger") The ENTER key no longer activates OKAY...

Re: Help me with Array

A side issue regarding this forum: It'd be nice if you used the "Full Editor & Preview" (at the bottom), and the Code option. That's how those guys (points up) got the nice framed code with indentation, making it easier to read, and easier to help you. :-) I added some comments to your code (and ind...

Well.... It's not perfect, but much better. :-) Although documentation is now listed, so too is everything else.....and some bonus stuff. https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=010629462602499112316:ywoq_rufgic&q=guicontrol#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=guicontrol&gsc.sort= "All" results total 6410 https://cse.google.com/...

Force Variable Declarations

Is it possible to force AFK to require variable declarations? I've been running into problems regularly since AFK automatically creates any variable (or typo, or syntax errror, or....) it hasn't seen. Anything from missing quotes, incorrect use of percents, global, and such. It'd make debugging much...

Re: GuiControl Radio

Thanks, just me. Hadn't considered using HWND. Good to know, for another time. My objective here was to avoid defining more variables if there was an alternative. Well, my objective is always to learn more about stuff. I don't understand this section of your code: GuiControl, , %HFish3%, 1 GuiContro...

Re: GuiControl Radio

Nice! Thanks! "Button1" (etc) does the trick. Now that I've seen it, I can use it....but it'd be nice to look at documentation on it. (Couldn't find any.) So, with button#, I can refer directly to radio buttons in the second set, but I need to add an "offset". That is, button 1 is "button 1 + the to...

GuiControl Radio

Two part question. (One may be answered by the other, though.) First, and simple. Any variation of this command gives me a "Parameter #1 invalid" error: GuiControl, radio, vmyvar, 1 Second, and not quite as simple: I have more than one set of radio buttons in a GUI which I'd like to set as necessary...

Re: Documentation Searches

Wolf_II: Using the small search field in http://autohotkey.com/docs/AutoHotkey.htm to look for "Guicontrol" for example, doesn't give any link to https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/GuiControl.htm (although, it clearly exists). MasterFocus: The behaviour has definately changed. If (after trying the...

Documentation Searches

Is this a temporary problem? Or, maybe it's just me?

Searching for anything using the Search field provided in http://autohotkey.com/docs/AutoHotkey.htm (linked from THIS window) doesn't report any documentation, only forums & discussions.

Pixelsearch scans a rectangle. You may wish to just use: PixelGetColor

Re: CAPS LOCK Flicker

Do you have anything in your code that does SetCapsLockState or sends the key {CapsLock}? Not that I'm aware of. If you send text while CapsLock is on I'll examine this. Although I don't do it within a script, I do use CAPSLOCK regularly enough to sometimes leave it on when starting a script. Well,...

CAPS LOCK Flicker

I've been having troubles with my CAPS LOCK "randomly" toggling whenever I "sendinput" (or variations of it). t := "Some string" sendinput, %t% Output: sOMe STrinG When it happens, it affects ALL my AHK scripts (even those independent of the stuff I was editing.). The problem does go away (eventuall...

Re: Global not always global

Methinks I finally understand!! MasterFocus did say, "...because you directly refer...." And guest3456 clarified the documentation, "... Any non-dynamic reference...." (I had a direct reference later in the function, so all my tweaking/testing wasn't affecting the already-defined-as-local variable.)...

Re: Global not always global

Ya...but...um.... It works for ALL the other variables (pseudo-array elements) defined and used exactly the same way. It even works for THOSE two variables in a different function. Thus, my befuddlement. Same define, same code, same file, different results. From Listvars: Local Variables for Join() ...
