Re: Detect Steam overlay screen Topic is solved

If it happens in the game, then unless you can read the game code or log files like you mentioned, there's no way AHK can detect that. The easiest solution would be as Capn Odin suggested and to search by image. The transparency you asked for is the *n option he mentioned as well.

Re: need help with simple code

i wanna be able to send r but only once If you only need to press "r" once, then throw it outside the loop. I don't know if your program requires both the key-down and key-up presses to work, but SetKeyDelay may help to clean up your code. freq := 30 SetKeyDelay, 0, 50 $Capslock:: Send, r Loop { if...

Re: Running a compiled AHK script in Microsoft Azure

If the AHK code has to physically do something on the client's computer, and the client has any operating system other than Windows, then most (if not all) of the standard Windows API functions will not work on their computer. So if you attempt to read the client's System Tray, your program would ei...

Re: doubleclick execute right click

Check out the third example from the SetTimer documentation. The problem with this type of implementation is that any time you click, you would have to wait for some pre-specified time before the click would be registered as either a left or a right click, even if it's as low as 0.2 seconds. However...

Re: Need help with numpad command Topic is solved

So the value in var is saved when the "RETURN" is hit? I think you're misunderstanding some basic programming, so let me explain it briefly. Most variables initialize to nil or zero for AHK; for numbers, AHK starts at the number "0". In his code, the variable "Var" is defined, AHK initializes it to...

Re: Script stopped working altogether

That's rather unlikely unless its environment has changed. So what did you change before the script stopped working? And to preempt the response of "nothing", let me make mention that you should open your Control Panel and check out Programs, then sort by date. Find any programs which were installe...

Re: Edited a script so it can move pictures to specific folders with a single hotkey press - Not working how I want it.

It's a wildcard. Instead of looping through the directories (of which you only give one directory, so it loops once), it looks for files with any name and any extension within that directory to loop through. Loop for Files and Folders

Re: Do LoopB x1 after doing LoopA x5?

I'm slightly confused as to what you want to do. Do you brew 5 times, refill 1 time, then exit that part of the script? Or do you do 5 1, 5 1, 5 1 (repeat three times)? I've got this code to brew five times, refill once, and repeat this process three times. If you can possibly explain what you need ...

Re: AutoHotkey Meets Nolimits 2 - Is it Possible?

That looks simple enough. You could use MouseClickDrag to move the scroll bar, but I prefer to click a predetermined number of times on the up and down arrows to navigate. It probably won't be instant, but it will be fast enough that your normal functioning won't be hindered. To begin, I use a simpl...

How ImageSearch works is that it finds the first image which matches the pattern and returns the coordinates of the match. If your sleeps aren't long enough, then your ImageSearch may find the same picture again and return the exact same coordinates. I don't know how long the delay is in MineCraft, ...

Re: AutoHotkey Meets Nolimits 2 - Is it Possible?

If the windows and their associated buttons/tabs are always in the same locations, then it's easily possible to hard-code AHK to click at certain screen coordinates to do what you've mentioned. If different tabs are selected each time the windows open, but the method of opening those tabs is known, ...

I made a similar script for my brother who uses a second monitor, and he had the same issue. I only use one monitor, and with the exact same code, it functions beautifully. I think the issue is if the program is running on the second monitor; try moving it to your primary monitor and see if that cha...

Re: AutoHotKey stopped working after plugging new keyboard, even if I restart computer

So you just make a one-line script that says MsgBox asdf , double click it, and nothing happens? I don't see that you've tested a script yet that meets the criteria I've mentioned earlier, and I don't see you mentioning removing the software that automatically comes with your keyboard (although you ...

Re: repeat keystroke and mouse click to another window

You're looking at a very advanced topic involving tracking every keypress and every mouse movement based on the refresh rate of your monitor/OS. My first recommendation would be to use the dual mice code found here: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/40768-multiple-mouse-mice-cursors/ Once you have ...

Re: AutoHotkey scripts stopped working

Do you have any scripts which simply perform a function and exit? No hotkeys or persistence? I would want to identify if it's a keyboard issue or an AHK issue, but this has popped up a few times lately which makes me think a recent Windows 10 update broke some verisons of AHK. Without having Windows...

Re: Pressed hotkey interferes with the triggered code

Although you can try using ~Numpaddiv:: , I think your issue is that your problem statement is not well defined. If you need to send <control>+<tab>, then it would be better to Send ^{tab} which doesn't force down your control key. With your current code, you're actually pressing your Control key do...
