Re: Change transparent color from pink?

Thanks for the quick reply Capn. I did try changing both to a dark gray color, but I get this: http://i.imgur.com/u8yzFHA.jpg #NoEnv #SingleInstance force ;################################# Menu, Tray, Icon, GearIcon.ico ;Icon must be in same folder. myIP1 = %A_IPAddress1% Loop, 20 ; 20 is an arbitr...

Change transparent color from pink?

Hi Folks, This question is from the same project as this https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=23438 one. The code is below. Here's a screenshot of my desktop: http://i.imgur.com/j0MHoJY.jpg I'd like to get rid of the pink outline/shadow. I tried changing lines 52 and 73, but using o...

Re: Draw text over desktop background image? Topic is solved

I just wanted to pop in and say, "Thanks" to Ronins for the replies and additional references! I'm still attempting to digest the GDIP stuff, when I have free moments between work and parenting. I think the key might actually be in Tutorials 5 and 8. from 8 ; Tutorial to write text onto a gui and 5 ...

Re: Draw text over desktop background image? Topic is solved

Okay, so I'm made some progress here... Admittedly, I don't understand what all of these lines of code actually do, but I'm slowly digesting them. In the meantime, I've added a few useful items that I want "drawn" onto my desktop. Also I named the GUI, since I've got a couple of other scripts with G...

Re: Draw text over desktop background image? Topic is solved

Thanks Ronins! That does indeed work! This setup means another process running in the background, but all things considered, I think I can live with that. I also found this http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php which potentially would let a person make a copy of the actual wallpaper image that...

Draw text over desktop background image? Topic is solved

Hi All. I have an awesome ahk script that puts the contents of some text files onto my desktop by way of invoking BGInfo https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bginfo . It's a pretty cool setup, but BGInfo doesn't seem to work with my new installation of Windows 10 at work. I tried posting...

Re: Keep looking for mouse?

Hi Mason, Thanks for the tips. Yea, it occurred to me as I was typing, that the real solution is to get rid of the problem; not make a band-aid for it. I will check out these other mouses.

Update: Okidoky... I got a Logitech M510. Problem solved. :bravo:

Keep looking for mouse?

This is not really related to AHK specifically... But then again, maybe all Windows inquires are at least "related" to AHK. :) I have this BlackWeb BlueTrace wireless mouse that I got on sale. There is no driver for it (anywhere, even online). And Windows has difficulty recognizing the dongle thingy...

Re: image crop and save function Topic is solved

Thanks on the gdip_all tip! So it looks like you've customized the script you posted yesterday just for me :) Thanks for that! I have the script in a folder along with gpid_all.ahk. And the scrips has #Include, Gdip_All.ahk . I have a sample.png in the folder too. If I press Win+c, I can select my s...

Re: image crop and save function Topic is solved

Thanks Kon! With that last script, I'm getting an error because the WIA.ahk library here Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) lib doesn't seem to have the correct functions... I'll post a question on that thread about it though. EDIT: Wait a minute, these are WIAxyz functions, rather than GDIPxyz. Is the...

Re: image crop and save function Topic is solved

Hi Kon and All, I just found this thread while searching for scripts that crop... The one that Kon posted above (the one that starts with FileSelectFile ) works nicely, but I see that it does not allow negative numbers. Does anyone know of a similar setup that will allow negs? What I actually want, ...

Ha! I looked right at the line of code that pointed to "Sample.menu" and didn't even notice that the .menu file is of a different name! Thanks for posting the fix. :D I'll definitely experiment with this. Question: Your hotkey line is ^!m up:: . What is the "up" for? EDIT: I thought I gave this thre...

Hi Zedd,
Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately it's a no go.... The GoalView app doesn't work right in IE, so we all use Chrome.

Assess whether particular Chrome web form is active??

Hi Folks, This might not be possible, but I thought I'd check. I made an autotext tool that fills out some forms for me ( i.e. Blah blah{Tab}Blah blah ). Below is the actual form. My tool has definitions for several different forms, and if the wrong autotext definition is used, then the {Tab}{Tab}{T...

@ Boiler: Yea, I guess i see what you mean now... I guess some part of the Autohotkey engine must still be checking over and over to see when the window is active. It's not explicitly repeating like Shadow's though. With Shadow's, the winActive assessment only happens every 50 milliseconds, but I su...

Shadowpheonix's

Copied over from another thread (Didn't want to hi-jack the other thread) I personally have a single "master" script that is always running on my system with my standard hotkeys, shortkeys, and timers in it (along with a pop-up menu system that I use to run other temporary scripts, games, applicatio...
