StringReplace with a variable

I'm tearing my hair out. I want to replace a word inside a text file. The word inside that text file is surrounded by quotation marks. And that word can be random at any time, so I need to find what is inside the quotes, and make it a variable. I think I've taken care of the part to identify whateve...

Re: Radio Button Disabled If Text Added

whoops, sorry - that was a silly question. Adding a simple "w%value% h%value%" does the trick... I had always thought that radio buttons were stuck at a default size for some reason.

Re: Radio Button Disabled If Text Added

oh, man, thanks guys - so simple. I didn't see that. One last question - can radio buttons be placed closer together? If I place them any closer on the x-axis, they start to overlap and malfunction, but it would be nice to cram them in there to save space on the gui if possible

Radio Button Disabled If Text Added

Hi, I'm working on a GUI that has radio buttons. Each radio button works fine so long as I do not add text underneath each button. But if I add text beneath each button, the functionality is disabled and if you press all 3 radio buttons, they all become 'pressed' instead of on/off from eachother. Th...

Same function more than once

Hello, I have a script which creates multiple GUIs. On each of these GUIs, I want a right-click to perform a different action depending on which GUI was clicked on. So if I right click on GUI1, it sends 'hello world'. If I right-click on GUI2, it sends 'goodbye world'. For GUI1, I'm using: OnMessage...

Re: Can you make Dragon NaturallySpeaking talk using an autohotkey script?

I use Dragon Naturally Speaking with ahk, so I use voice my commands to run the scripts. But I've never had DNS actually "speak" to me... do you mean have DNS read out loud a passage of text, for example? If so, there are other options as well to do this. Maybe if you clarify what you want to do I c...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

GEV, you are the man - this is working now, flawlessly. I was about to throw in the towel on this one :) I spent the entire day yesterday mucking around with it but couldn't get there. Thankis again and thanks to wizardzedd as well for moving things along nicely!

Re: Click when hover but wait first

thanks GEV! This seems to be working quite well- when the cursor enters the zone, how can I expand the size of that zone just a little bit so the cursor has a bit more room to move around before it leaves (hope that makes sense).. so if the initial zone size is MouseX > 0 and MouseX < 360 and MouseY...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

I've included an additional note in the script to pinpoint exactly where the problem is. When the cursor enters and then leaves the zone in under 1 second, nothing should happen at all, yet it still displays the tooltip "cursor has entered zone- now wait for 1 second..." - this is where the problem ...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

oh, lol - I didn't even notice that ;) Okay, now it's just about there... but still I'm tearing my hair out because the last problem is that if the cursor enters the first zone and then leaves in less than 1 second, the code still executes, even though it's not supposed to. If it enters and then lea...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

Okay, I've managed to adjust a few things, and have some more progress. But now the problem is that when the cursor leaves the larger zone, it isn't detecting that part correctly - meaning that I have to drift the cursor much farther away from the zone before it executes the "leaving" code. As soon ...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

Thanks again- but I still can't get it to work. I should explain better, my fault: When the cursor enters the zone, then the code is carried out one time. The cursor may remain in that zone, but the code won't repeat - it only executes once. At this point- nothing will happen until the cursor leaves...

Re: Click when hover but wait first

thanks, I've changed the code a bit but it still executes the code as soon as the cursor enters the zone - I need to make the cursor wait inside the zone for 1 second before the code executes.. what am I doing wrong? #Persistent CoordMode, Mouse, Screen SetTimer, Label, 10 return Label: MouseGetPos,...

Click when hover but wait first

Hi, I have some code that when the cursor enters a specific zone (a small box), it will carry out some code once. It does not repeat the code if the cursor remains in the zone, it executes it only once. When the cursor leaves this zone, it carries out some different code, again, just one time. The c...

Re: Activate a specific chrome window

Not defeated. There's always a way it seems with this program. You could take a screen snapshot when the tab in the 2nd window is visible, then crop the image just outside the 4 boundaries of the tab, save the image as a .bmp, then run an imagesearch so ahk can locate exactly where on the screen the...

Re: Activate a specific chrome window

it took me days to get something working, or at least half-working. The multiple tabs in a Chrome window can't be identified as far as I can tell, so it all boils down to that. Although the last script I posted in this topic should work, so long as you enter the proper WinTitle of the active tab in ...

Re: Activate a specific chrome window

I played around with it and had some success. Here's the code - it's a big mess because I'm still an amateur ;). I'm sure someone can find a better way to clean this up but for whatever reason I have it working. There's stuff in there that's not even necessary but I don't want to mess with it too mu...

Re: Activate a specific chrome window

I think so far you've been able to activate the 2nd (larger) chrome window, but then the script fails when trying to open a new tab and paste the url into it. After you've activated that 2nd window, you could always use the keyboard shortcuts (CTRL+PGUP) or (CTRL+PGDN) to cycle through the existing ...
