Re: CSV Buddy Beta - freeware sources on GitHub and compiled

Hi Johnny,

After you selected the file, click the "Load" button to load the file. File operations in CSV Buddy are a little different than the usual open/save actions you can see in other apps.

Re: MsgBox with info (app, directory, etc) for active window

What I mean by the "directory/pathway" (if one of those is the correct term) is where the active window/file is located on the hard drive. Same thing for me. in other windows (eg MS Office files, Notepad++ files, PDF files, etc), it would be helpful to have a quick way to know exactly where the fil...

Re: MsgBox with info (app, directory, etc) for active window

I'm trying to create a MsgBox which returns information for the active window including: • directory/pathway for the active file You probably mean the current location inside the Explorer window? The code added to your script will make sure this is an Explorer window and, if yes, retrieve the curre...

GUI Image scaling issue with HDPI device (Surface)

Hi, A user of my app Quick Access Popup reports that GUI images don't scale on HDPI-devices like his Surface PC. I'm using regular commands to add images to the GUI: Gui, 1:Add, Picture, vf_picGuiAddFavorite gGuiAddFavoriteSelectType, %g_strTempDir%\add_property-48.png In this image, left side, the ...

Yes, you are right. But risky, as explained lexikos. Enough risky for me to exclude this option.

Re: Trigger action on submenu?

So, this works when the menu is attached to a Gui. But, from what I've read from the links you posted, not for a standalone menu. Interesting.

Re: Examples of Non-Standard GUIs (ActiveX, GDI, etc.)

I wrote that one or two years ago. It is still alpha version but it works well with to manage tunes cover in an iTunes library. And I should write an MP3 lib some time... http://code.jeanlalonde.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/MyTunesCovers-7-1024x740.png Other screen captures in the rest of the slide...

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

Forget it, I have my answer since even with the do-nothing app in my example the cursor is truning to OCR_APPSTARTING. So, this must be Windows.

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

> Why do you set all of the system cursors? I suppose it's only the OCR_APPSTARTING cursor that you want to prevent from appearing, so just replace that cursor with the normal one. This is true. Will do. Do you know what is turning the mouse cursor to OCR_APPSTARTING ? Is is the app starting (DOpusR...

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

@Masonjar13: Reviewing your posts, I realize that you got me wrong. The external program I'm trying to run without flicker is not an AHK script. As menton in the OP, it is "Directory Opus utility DOpusRt to collect the list of folders open in DOpus"). Sorry if I was not clear down the road. To date ...

Re: Extracting icons from a file on 64-bit OS

OK. I see. It worked for A_AhkPath with ANSI runtime. But my app needs to be Unicode. I'll take a look at LoadPicture() after a little sleep :-) Thanks lexikos.

Extracting icons from a file on 64-bit OS

Hi, I need help to make this code from Skan in an old thread to work on a 64-bit OS. I guess it does not work because it is written for 32-bit. Could you please tell me what need to be changed? $EXTRACT_ICONGROUP( A_WinDir "\regedit.exe", A_Desktop "\Regedit.ico") return $EXTRACT_ICONGROUP( $FILE, $...

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

If I get you right, I could try to change all cursors to the normal image using SetSystemCursor. I'll try it. I tried it and had interesting results. I added some code from Gio to change the cursor to the original code: #NoEnv #SingleInstance force MsgBox, Click OK to start.`n`nPress Alt-Q to stop....

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

AutoHotkey does not create its hidden window in a visible state and does not show or activate the window unless the user or the script requests it, so if this has anything to do with focus issues, do-nothing.ahk isn't the cause. You can't hide a hidden window. Thanks for this clarification lexikos....

Re: Avoid flicker when using the Run command for a background task

I get my cursor changing to the partial wait cursor when hovering over certain area of the screen, but no screen flicker. Thanks for checking punchin.
