Re: Error: "k" is not a valid key name using the Hotkey comm

Here is the test code. I use ErrorLevel instead as explained in the HotKey command doc: str := "" loop, 256 { int := A_Index - 1 Hotkey, % "$#" . chr(int), MyLabel, Off UseErrorLevel if (ErrorLevel) { if (errorlevel = 1) str := str . "`nASCII " . int . " - 1) The Label parameter specifies a nonexist...

Re: Error: "k" is not a valid key name using the Hotkey comm

Thank you for your input Lexikos. One of the user is using a Russian Windows. This could be it. Tonight, I'll ask the Russian Windows user to run a compiled script that will try to create (and delete) hotkeys for each letter. I will use the Try command. That should allow to trap invalid letters. Som...

varname := Object()
or
Global varname := Object()

before I use them.

Error: "k" is not a valid key name using the Hotkey command

Hello, I'm having hard time understanding what's the cause for this symptom reported by two different users of my freeware app FoldersPopup ( sources on GitHub ) using Win7 and Win8.1. The app is compiled using ahk2exe v1.1.11.01 in 32-bit and 64-bit. When my app is launched, it creates 5 hotkeys. T...

Re: Is "Gui +Disabled" supposed to disable the keyboard?

Looks like it doesn't! But u can also disable the control: Thanks alvitawa. But then, the control loose its focus and you can't continue to press Down. But another option is to assign a "do nothing" command to the arrow keys. #SingleInstance force Gui, Add, DropDownList, vList gDropDownChanged Sort...

Is "Gui +Disabled" supposed to disable the keyboard?

I'm using the "Gui +Disabled" command to prevent the user from interacting with the window while a Gui update is done after a change in a dropdown list. This update may last 2-5 seconds depending on the number of images to update. The "+disabled" option works only partly. Mouse clicks are blocked an...

Re: 4 options to change the current folder in Windows Explor

Just to make my comment more clear, you can use command like ControlGetText and ControlSetText to save and change the current dialog box folder. The Send key itself is used only to press "Enter". This could be relatively simple. But the longer approach described by Learning One in http://ahkscript.o...

Hi. It works fine on a regular windows explorer window but it won't work on Open/Save dialogs. Any help? Thanks The Shell.Application COM object is only opening or controling Explorr windows. For dialog boxes, you have to send commands to dialog box control and Send some keys. See this script and s...

Gui form to define hotkeys

For one of my projects, I needed a Gui form to give the user the choice of 3 hotkeys/mouse buttons shortcuts. It uses the "Gui, Add, Hotkey" control with the addition of check boxes to accept any modifiers, including the Win key (#) modifier normally inaccessible to the hotkey control. I also use a ...

Re: CSV Buddy Beta - freeware sources on GitHub and compiled

Sorry, I used the wrong term. Not "command line", I should have written passing a parameter, e.g. "c:\Program Files\CSVBuddy.ahk" blah.csv. Sorry Hello LarryC. You were also right calling this "command line", in my opinion. Your suggestion was to load the csv file at launch but I did some mileage o...

Re: CSV Buddy Beta - freeware sources on GitHub and compiled

Thank you LarryC :-) CSV Buddy is an "only-GUI" app. I could add some "easy" command-line support (eg loading files) but fully support CSVBuddy features with command line would be a major work. And there are already very good command-line tools to edit CSV files (search for CSVfix if you are interes...
