Re: #Include: block auto-include

Also using a library name with <> and without it's extension will look for that file in specific folders. These folders can contain libraries and you can access them from any script without problem. What defines a library? A .ahk file with function definitions? Or a file called myFunction.ahk with ...

Re: #Include: block auto-include

Can you share some pointers nnnik? Any good tutorials that you recommend? This include stuff isn't easy for me to understand, and the docs page is not very inclusive, or else I'm just not looking right. I don't understand why directives do not use expression syntax. Maybe it has been discussed somew...

Ragnar wrote:If I understood correctly (related to this post), Lexikos' idea was to swap the order of the old and new syntax like in LoopFile etc., not the order of the command and function.
A classic example that could be switched around. https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/StringReplace.htm

After 4 days, the captcha will not work. Will you remove it so people can still sign up?

Re: AHK v1 to AHK v2 converter

Hi, I just tried this out a bit. It was complicated to get the script and the 3 lib files together from 2 forum threads (and not the first post in the threads) to the right places. Would be relatively easy for you and much easier for everyone if you simply provided a zip file.. So it is attached her...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

@joefiesta --- @Ragnar-F has designed this help file, and would be happy to help anyone who kindly tells him what is not working with the help file. Opening an issue on github would be the best place to do that, but he watches this thread too. Might be busy, etc right now.

Re: passing parameters as strings v. numeric Topic is solved

str + 0 is blank or number
My apologies, but can you explain further? I cannot see the point you make--possibly you are disagreeing with something I said?

Re: passing parameters as strings v. numeric Topic is solved

Hello again, sorry about any misunderstandings I might have caused. It's very common for people to pass numbers (as strings) to SendMessage, people have been able to do this with no problem since AutoHotkey began. The InputBox scenario is an example of this. To that I would say, quoting you: I'm not...

Hey, it's totally expected. (Any) FREE online service is getting paid by having your data. Why is everybody shocked?

Re: passing parameters as strings v. numeric Topic is solved

It's common in AHK for parameters that expect string data, to handle numeric types as strings, and vice versa, and that's a strength of AutoHotkey. Also, introducing greater consistency is an aim and strength of AutoHotkey v2. That is, rather, an in consistency of AutoHotkey. In more consistent lan...

Sorry that was not my main PC and AHK was still at 1.22. After updating, it looks like it works again, but ran out of time to test thoroughly :)

Unless the buttons are modified from the default, omitting the text parameter [no matter how many other parameters are omitted] will set the text to "Press OK to continue." Re: CodeQuickTester - Write and run code without touching the file system

For me, the syntax tips only work until I make changes to the code--so starting a new CQT, I can select the words in the default text, but when I start typing anything, I cannot get syntax tips for anything.

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

If you do, you might have to bear with, deal with any breaking changes that might be still coming. I don't know how much more this will happen, but it is likely not never. There are a couple converters around that would help you switch your scripts. Might be a good chance to improve things too. :) I...
