looping and multiple keywaits?

I want to have a loop pause and then continue when either the user clicks on a gui button or the space key. Is that possible? Thanks.

Ahk_exe and Gui, New

I have a compiled ahk file that has several gui's using the Gui, name:new pattern. I'm launching the exe file from a separate ahk script with code similar to this: Test() { Global launch := substr(get, instr(get,"\",, 0) +1,-4) choice := launch ".exe" launch := root "\" launch "\" choice if fileexis...

Re: Gui Autosize?

Maybe so but the help file is wrong. It should read something like: Resizes the window to accommodate only its currently visible controls. This is useful to resize the window after new controls are added, or existing controls are resized, hidden, or unhidden (but note it cannot resize space made by ...

Re: Gui Autosize?

Thanks, not a bug, but I think it would be good if this limitation was mentioned in help.

Re: Array and Gui at wit's end!

Thanks for the replies. I thought that cho and cho[] were separate variables. I see now I was mistaken.

Re: Gui Autosize?

I found the answer. This code leaves a gap: Gui, Add, Progress, w300 h200 vPic BackgroundBlue ; pretend this is a picture Gui, Add, Button, gHide, Hide picture Gui, Show, Center return GuiClose: ExitApp Hide: GuiControl, Hide, Pic Gui, Show, AutoSize Center return The gui shrinks horizontally but no...

Cho.Length() isn't valid because Cho has been overwritten before by Gui, Choice:New, +OwnerTest -dpiscale hwndCho, Chosen Cards:.
Sorry, I don't follow. Does creating this Gui empty the array? Thanks.

Re: Array and Gui at wit's end!

What is shown for test in the MsgBox after you assign cho[1] to it? Are you sure voc is a valid array and has elements with the keys that are used with it? The variables in your GUI that are named Cho%A_Index% are not related to the array named cho if that's what you expect. And where does the vari...

Re: Gui Autosize?

Thanks, that worked but my own code with multiple guis and functions does not. I am using the autosize command after the pictures have disappeared but the Gui is not resizing. It is leaving an ugly space above the button. I have a variable number of pictures and the button hides one at random. The p...

Gui Autosize?

The help file states: AutoSize: Resizes the window to accommodate only its currently visible controls. This is useful to resize the window after new controls are added, or existing controls are resized, hidden, or unhidden. For example: Gui, Show, AutoSize Center. Can someone please give me an examp...

Array and Gui at wit's end!

I'm trying to put some file paths into an array and then use it to build a gui. The following is inside a function and part of longer code: Chosen := substr(chosen, 1, -1) cho := [] loop, parse, Chosen, `, { if A_loopfield is number cho.push(voc[A_loopfield]) test := cho[A_index] msgbox, 4096, OK, %...

Is it possible to undo winset, transcolor?

If I wanted to make red pixels invisible in a gui window for a couple of seconds and then make them reappear is that possible? I can make them go using transcolor but can't find a way to return them. Thanks.

FileCopyDir - I don't get it! Topic is solved

I'm trying to copy the contents of a single folder from one drive to a thumbdrive (q:\) I thought FileCopyDir would work since help states: Copies a folder along with all its sub-folders and files (similar to xcopy). But the following didn't work as expected: FileCopyDir, D:\test, Q:\, 1 I end up wi...

Re: Gui gcontrol as a funtion Topic is solved

Thank very much Hellbent for taking the time to create those examples. My Loop, 35 c%A_Index% = didn't work but your: Loop, 35 c%A_Index% := "" does. Since my last reply I'm been trying to create some code that was close to my original and gave an error but I couldn't. I'm still not quite sure what ...

Re: Gui gcontrol as a funtion Topic is solved

Thanks for the reply and the idea of using tooltip. I added that and got no error when clicking on the guicontrol but did with the keyboard shortcut (making 2 error messages). The c1 variable is generated in a loop and is a text control. The text control is blank when the gui is created and text is ...
