Problem with WinwaitClose

I have the following code to bring up a settings menu for an AHK game I'm making: ~lbutton:: MousegetPos, xpos, ypos if (ypos < 100) and (xpos < 100) if (A_PriorHotkey == A_ThisHotkey AND A_TimeSincePriorHotkey < 350) Settings() return I wanted to pause the game so after creating the settings GUI I ...

Re: Centre Gui to desktop

I've been looking at the function by MasterFocus and I've been trying to add the option to offset the X and Y position. This is what I tried: WinMovePos(p_Pos="",offX=0,offY=0,p_WinTtl="A",p_WinTxt="",p_ExcTtl="",p_ExcTxt="") { ; adapted from MasterFocus's WinMoveSpecial ; First parameter: TOP | TOP...

Re: False Positive: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO and Window

Thanks, I didn't mean to suggest the problem was with AHK. But I wonder why exe files compiled on Windows 7 are OK while those compiled on Windows 8 are not.

Doh! I thought I was half a sleep when I wrote that code - turned out I was completely comatose! Thanks for the replies and for spotting what I shouldn't have missed.

Re: Centre Gui to desktop

Thanks for the link, but my problem is the opposite. I don't want to reduce the area to exclude the taskbar - that is what the function I posted is already doing. Here is a screen shot. I have a fullscreen GUI (yellow) behind a second GUI - it is nearer the top of the screen than it should be. Menu....

False Positive: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO and Windows 8

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO (MBAM) is quarantining compiled AHK scripts on Windows 8 64 bit as a Trojan.Downloader. MBAM doesn't do this on Windows 7 with either 32 bit or 64 bit compiled scripts. Can anyone else confirm this problem. Thanks.

Centre Gui to desktop

I hoped this function would centre the activewindow to the desktop but it seems to be offsetting for the height of the Taskbar. How can I get it to ignore the taskbar? Thanks. CentreWindow() { Wingetpos, ,, sizW, sizH, A offX := (%A_screenwidth%/2) - (sizW/2) offY := (%A_screenwidth%/2) - (sizH/2) W...

Re: Problems with Windows 8 64 bit

Thanks, problem solved. The code you suggested gave 0/0 on my Windows 7 machine and 1/2 on my Windows 8 machine. FileToRead stores the name of the file to be read in the loop. My Path and File msgboxes were showing correctly on both machines but I failed to notice that the drive letter was wrong on ...

Re: Problems with Windows 8 64 bit

Thanks for the reply. The following script works with Windows 7, but not Windows 8. It fails to read the words from the text file and the last msgbox is blank. Can you suggest what's wrong? #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases. #Warn ; Recommended fo...

Problems with Windows 8 64 bit

I have a script that works without error on Windows 7 64 bit. On Windows 8 I've seen two errors. I believe the first is due to Windows 8 not finding the path to my files. The script is in a separate directory from other files. Relative paths are required. This is what I have been using: SetWorkingDi...

Ifnotexists and loops

I have a list of words in a txt file and am trying to check to see if there is a matching png and mp3 file for each word. I tried the following: Loop, read, %FileToLoad% { TrimList = No msgbox, 4096, Check, %A_loopreadline% stringleft, Folder, A_loopreadline, 1 ifnotexist, words\%Folder%\%A_loopread...

Warning Messages - On Top please!

I've mentioned this before (not sure if it was here or the old forum) but it is very awkward to use #Warn when dealing with AlwaysONtop fullscreen GUI's. The warning message remains hidden under the GUI and the code appears to hang without any indication as to why. Could Warning Messages always appe...

Re: Gui in function swap image proble

Thanks for the replies. Using a global variable works though I don't get why it needs to be global. I couldn't get the hwnd idea to work with a picture. I got warnings that a variable was missing and a global variable was required to make it work. What I eventually want to have happen is for my main...

Gui in function swap image proble

I'm building a GUI inside a function. The images are together in a different directory. RadioNO.png loads. Can anyone suggest why I'm getting a soundbeep but the image is not being swapped and I'm getting no error messages. I've used something similar before but this is not working. Thanks #NoEnv ; ...

AHK GUI Border

Assuming -Caption and -Sysmenu are used to remove the usual titlebar what is the recommended way to give a GUI a thick border? I'd like something thicker than that provided by the Border option. Thanks.

Fix Login In/Out

Suddenly I'm being logged out after every visit. Has something changed because when the board was first set up it would honour my settings and log me in automatically. Please restore it how it was. Thanks.
