Reload with some previous actions Topic is solved

Hi!

How to achieve that some actions are done (e.g. deleting a file) every time the script is exited by Reload (Reload command or Reload from tray menu) (and maybe other actions are done if the script is exited by other reasons)?

Re: How to scan displayed webpages in the background?

Can you please elaborate on what specifically are you looking for and what websites, so that the "helpers" can take a look at the code requirements? In addition to my description in the question there is not much to say. Essentially, it is a tool that would automatically inform the user when surfin...

Re: How to scan displayed webpages in the background?

Thank you, gregster! I will look at your tips, but fear that these solutions are beyond my knowledge level... What I'm currently trying to do is adjust the Acc codes (above) so that only the relevant texts (between two "objects") are extracted. Perhaps then the time could be reduced. Unfortunately I...

Re: How to scan displayed webpages in the background?

Thank you, Portwolf!
Unfortunately this is not a solution for my purpose... The scanning should work with frames and complex webpages too, where the content changes via javascript etc.

Re: How to scan displayed webpages in the background?

I know that there is the Acc library (e.g. https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=26201) with the JEE_AccGetTextAll() function allowing to retrieve the complete content of the browser window. But this process takes more than 10 seconds and therefore can not be used for my purpose. Or ...

How to scan displayed webpages in the background?

I would like to write a tool running in the background that continuously scans the text content of web pages displayed in the browser for a certain string. Possibly for Firefox (there is probably no browser-independent solution). Scanning should be done without visual disturbance of the browser disp...

HotString(HStr, "Func")
HotString(HStr, "Func", On)

Func() {

A Hotstring function question

Why the X option is not working here?

Code: Select all

;HotrString(HStr, "Func")
HotString(":X:btw", "Func")

Func() {
  MsgBox By the way

List of all running AHK scripts Topic is solved

Let's assume this:
All scripts are launched via the renamed interpreter: MyFirstScript.ahk via MyFirstScript.exe, etc.

Is there a way to list the names of all running scripts launched in this way?

Re: How to add text to a text file (encoding!) Topic is solved

jeeswg, so you think it is better to use vEnc := JEE_FileGetEncoding(vPath) and FileAppend, %NewCont%, ..., %vEnc% instead of the above solution with FileReWrite()?

How can I tell SciTE4AutoHotkey to do syntax highlighting not only in .ahk files but also in .lib files?
Thank you very much in advance!

teadrinker, you are a schatz!!! In my opinion we have here a valuable and extremely useful improvement and extension of the very limited possibilities of the AHK command FileAppend ! Re: How to add text to a text file (encoding!) Topic is solved

Teadrinker, could you please repair my attempt below to extend your method to a complete solution: How to prepend text to a textfile or to change the complete content of a text file without destroying the encoding of the file and loosing the initial byte sequence. In FileReWrite() the length of the ...

Yes, of course, teadrinker. And as I said, UTF-16BE most probably doesn't have to interest us. Btw, years ago there were many postings on this subject: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/80342-fileprependa-insert-text-at-begin-of-file-ansi-text https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/80417-fileprependw-i...

Re: How to add text to a text file (encoding!) Topic is solved

Thank you, jeeswg & teadrinker! Your code, teadrinker, is a big surprise to me! The initial byte sequence in txt files created with Notepad in Unicode/UTF-16E and UTF-8 is preserved! (Not only BOM (FF FE), but EF BB BF in UTF-8 too!) Even text containing Unicode characters is added correctly. (The m...

Re: How to add text to a text file (encoding!) Topic is solved

Thank you, AlphaBravo! Yes, the encoding is not changed, but the initial bytes are lost (FF FE (= BOM) in Unicode (UTF-16LE), EF BB BF in UTF-8, ...???). There should be a way to identify such initial byte sequences and to add the text after them. How to do this? And which such initial byte sequence...

How to add text to a text file (encoding!) Topic is solved

A text line should be added at the beginning of a text file. However, the (unknown) encoding of the text file should be preserved. The following simple demo script is working fine, but the original encoding of the file may be lost (of course). File := A_ScriptDir . "\Test.txt" ; Encoding unknown! Ad...
