Re: JavaScript vs AutoHotKey (Simple Speed Test)

That's a case sensitive comparison therefore pointless. Most people don't want to code in C but rather in AutoHotkey when they choose the AutoHotkey language. The speed of a language is defined by its primitives not by its methods of including other languages. So arguments like MCode and DLLs are bo...

Re: Copying functions from main file to library

You coup use RegEx to identify what's a function and what isn't.

Re: Fehler beim Compilieren?

Generell ist das verwenden von AHK in Dropbox u.ä. Ordnern problematisch und nicht empfehlenswert. Probleme wie diese passieren da häufiger. Ich verwende privat git, das funktioniert problemlos.

What about regex? Also cross out image search - it's a bad idea.

Re: How to determine our AHK skill level? Topic is solved

You can be an AHK expert without understanding what a class is and even know what MSDN is about.

Re: How to determine our AHK skill level? Topic is solved

Although originally a joke I'd like to quote this forum/discord member on the topic:

People expect you to excegerate a little in your resume - so you should do exactly that.
The borders and lines shown here work fairly well for rating skills in AHK only.

Re: classMemory writeString problem Topic is solved

SJ_Spit_CanopyClose.wav need to be in "" because it is text instead of something else: "SJ_Spit_CanopyClose.wav" . You did hear silence because you overwrote the data with an empty string (essentially the same as putting a null terminator right at the start). When you disabled the null terminator y...

Re: Allow AutoHotkey to Handle Binary Data

We can add a completely new feature which can be used in place of the current binary data functionality and does not change the current binary data functionality. I personally believe that these names are a very bad choice - The functions they reference are bound to the WinAPI directly however AHK s...

Re: How to pass a v-variable? Topic is solved

Use the hWND to identify the control and instead of using DUI,Submit to ouptut the GUIs data use GUIControlGet with the hWND.

Re: Multi-Dimensionnal Array Syntax Problem Topic is solved

Not really :P A Msgbox showing the contents of oGui[nom,edit,hwnd] will show you that it should have the same contents as oGui[nom,edit,glabel] Where as oGui.nom.edit.var will be empty. At least this example will show this: Global oGui:= {} ; MOTHER object ;-- sub-objects ---------------------------...

Re: Multi-Dimensionnal Array Syntax Problem Topic is solved

I would reccomend it - but you should probably stop using vVariables then and just use the hWND.

Re: Multi-Dimensionnal Array Syntax Problem Topic is solved

nom text an var are treated as variables in this case. Empty variables to be precise. Since oGui[emptyVariable,emptyVariable] already contains "NOM_ClientFournisseur_Text" Assigning to oGui[emptyVariable,emptyVariable, emptyVariable] := "Cb1_Nom" does not create a new empty array in oGui[emptyVariab...

Re: Add item to Array Topic is solved

Code: Select all

v :=  {(-5):"An entry at -5"}
Msgbox % v.length()
Msgbox % v.MaxIndex()
This code should show the differences.

Code: Select all

arrNames[x]
Is the only way to view an array at the position the variable x contains.

Code: Select all

arrNames.x
Will access the array at the key x - x is the key name here and not a variable.

Re: Compiling AHK_L with gcc

The more up to date GCC compiler should perform better than Visual Studio 2015. Newer Visual Studio versions are probably going to be equal to it. Sadly I don't see anyone compiling AHK with GCC. If the Microsoft compiler permits minor errors in the C++ standards its because they won't lead to runti...
