Re: htm to txt, AutoHotkey Help (chm file) to txt Topic is solved

Haha, I did think that one outcome of the logic of what I was saying, was to ask the htm creators to format the html, in such a way that it would be consistent across all browsing methods. But 'Mama always said html was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.' I wouldn't want...

Re: key dll issues: calls and structs

Wow, jNizM! Do you have C++ code for that? It would be good to make a command line exe that accepts a parameter of a path (to a txt file containing the struct info copied from MSDN), and then outputs the x32 and x64 sizeof values to stdout e.g. '32,48'. ('Hello World' and compiling JXRDecApp.exe fro...

Re: key dll issues: calls and structs

Thank you all three of you, jNizM, just me and lexikos for some very useful information. Apologies that some of the information I posted was wrong, I based it on sizeof.ahk, and don't really have too much of a way of verifying what information is or isn't correct. I could then assume that Windows_Da...

Re: key dll issues: calls and structs

[EDIT: STRUCTURES UPDATED TO INCLUDE SIZES] Lists of dll functions and structs. I searched through key scripts/libraries, and the AutoHotkey Help file for dll functions in lines containing DllCall. I collected an initial 479 dll functions and (by checking MSDN for references) an initial 83 structs. ...

key dll issues: calls and structs

I have been trying to resolve all my key dll issues, before going on to finish my GUI functions project. These are classic problems, and I've tried to collect and outline them in a useful way, so that this page can benefit users generally. Any feedback/answers to these questions would be most welcom...

htm to txt, AutoHotkey Help (chm file) to txt Topic is solved

Inconsistencies in htm to txt. I have the AutoHotkey.chm file as a txt file, which is really useful for searching (with a few pages excluded from it). I exploded the chm using HTML Help command line (using short-form paths), and then tried different methods to do htm to txt, e.g. open in GUI/Interne...

Re: set text/state of listbox/listview items via Acc? Topic is solved

As regards setting text: - accName is read-only, but accValue isn't. As regards setting state: - accFocus/accSelection/accState are read-only, but accSelect can change the focus/selection. - The state of button controls can be changed by doing it's default action: check/uncheck. - I'm still unsure i...

Re: set text/state of listbox/listview items via Acc? Topic is solved

Looking at the response I was thinking in my head something along the lines of: 'How can I make a program in C++.' 'Google C++.' This link is actually immensely helpful, basically gives me everything I need, thanks. One query is if there is some alternative to 'accDoDefaultAction' like 'do non-defau...

Re: Internet Explorer: get WB hWnds via object loop (+ do win objects have unique object IDs)

I meant if there were some method like GetProcessTimes (which retrieves when a process was opened), for the document objects, the object loop seems to retrieve them in such an order. [EDIT: I misread the link, it appears it tells you when events happen, at the time they happen, I don't know if you c...

set text/state of listbox/listview items via Acc? Topic is solved

Is it possible via the Acc library, or some other method already existing, to set the text/status (status e.g. selected) for listbox items/listview items, or the ticked status for buttons? Otherwise it will have be the PostMessage/SendMessage route (which I already have functions for). e.g. ControlG...

Re: opinions on Stack Overflow

Well I made it to 50 reputation points, I don't think anybody noticed. OK so I acquired the ability to upvote a bit before that, and I remembered a post about ComboBoxes. This had worked in Windows XP but broke on Windows 7, 'Control, Choose' would visually select the item, but the program wasn't be...

Internet Explorer get/set zoom/text size

ZOOM: I've basically got this all working with one query. I'm able to get and set the zoom via ExecWB, and retrieve the value (e.g. 0 gives 10%, -1 gives 1000%). And have a workaround method to get the zoom without ExecWB. But have been unable to get the zoom via ExecWB (when you don't also set the ...

Re: Internet Explorer: get WB hWnds via object loop (+ do win objects have unique object IDs)

Great link. By milliseconds? Retrieve milliseconds from where? Is it possible to retrieve the times of events in that list?

I've found a few times, sneaky useful things on IE documents, from things not easily findable in MSDN, like the % zoom.

OK, I have a working script, there is just one line which could be improved if people have any good ideas. How to do a 'safe click up discharge'? Currently I have: ControlSend, Dummy, {Click, 0, 0}, ahk_class Notepad #IfWinActive, ahk_class Notepad LButton:: CoordMode, Mouse, Screen MouseGetPos, , ,...

Re: Internet Explorer: get WB hWnds via object loop (+ do win objects have unique object IDs)

Thank you phaleth, using the outerHTML is an interesting idea, out of interest does it slow down the script much, or use much CPU? I have various methods for matching up the window lists, and I'm quite happy with what I have. My main concern is, if anybody happens to know if there is some sort of un...

LButton Up issue, eat mouse press?

E.g. on Notepad, a script to prevent clicking on a context menu. Capture a mouse release (an LButton up). The user holds down the mouse over the File item, drags down over the Open item, and releases the mouse button, at that point, if the window under the cursor is a context menu, I want that click...

Re: Internet Explorer: get WB hWnds via object loop (+ do win objects have unique object IDs)

@phaleth Thank you, that's the curious thing, there's so much information you can get from a document object, you wonder if there is some actual object ID available that would give certainty, that would tie together the items in the two separate loops, furthermore you don't know if the number of tag...

Thank you for the link, greatly appreciated.
Key combination issues are one of those things
that come out of nowhere and surprise you.
Same with the mouse.
