Re: Bug Switch and WinActive

i havent looked into how Switch is supposed to work on v1 or how it's implemented, but it looks like a bug. the same example runs flawlessly on v2 fwiw, so maybe the problem is with expressions

u can force it into a bool with Case !!WinActive("window1"): or use switch true for the time being

Re: Map shorthand

still an imperfect solution and one not without downsides, access now becomes more complicated/tiresome, u have to make sure the case matches or StrLower everything beforehand, pair semantics are lost on Map's constructor(i guess u can newline but meh)

"if u do the thing X was meant to do, X is useful"
it was removed because it is a very niche function that many had the propensity to misuse, some - downright abuse. glad its gone

-1 and nth to last u can already do with the array u get back from StrSplit newlines

Re: Map shorthand

lexikos u are mistaken on both counts having gone through all my production scripts i can safely conclude that the only reason why ud ever want to use a Map is if u needed the keys to be case-sensitive. The other far unlikelier reason is if u had a key called "base". The fact that u can also have p...

Re: Reverse array Topic is solved

huh, i thought clones were more expensive than that. so far it looks like Helgef 's first solution is the simplest, most performant and also conforming to spec jeeswg 's comes second, while also being correct and the rest are either unoptimized( insertat 1 big no no) or mangle the indices in fact, i...

Re: Is it possible to modify a control (with -WantReturn) in a third-party program?

does it successfully retrieve MyControlHWND though?
if it does, yet nothing happens, the control probably didnt support ES_WANTRETURN to begin with
if it doesnt, then u need to double check ur WinTitles and control names that ure using with ControlGet

Re: How to free memory after using WinHttpRequest?

https://i.imgur.com/Gf9hgjp.gif i copypasted ur script 3 times and ran it, win10 1.1.31.01 x64. starts off at 2.5MB fetching response -> 4.2MB free ComObj and string -> 3.7MB then repeats 2 more times the only thing u could deem unusual is the fact that ahk lazily loads some COM stuff the first tim...

Re: Is it possible to modify a control (with -WantReturn) in a third-party program?

well, why did u replace ahk_id with that string? ahk_id is a WinTitle specifier, all u had to do was provide a valid control handle(hwnd)

Re: Include scripts via url?

u cant dynamically include files. standard include requires the files be known at compile time. u could either design ur scripts in a way such that they can be run on their own as standalone scripts or u could devise a crude app launcher that will download the contents of these scripts and stitch th...
