Re: AHK/CLR/OpenXml - Office docs w/o Office

Klarion , both your .docx and .xlsx samples work fine for me. I'm very happy to see you have had more luck with OOXML than I had. I appreciate your efforts. Perhaps you would be interested in EPPlus with AHK (also no Excel needed) . I'm extremely interested in all projects that use Clr_LoadLibrary ...

@tank, just tried the barchart example and it was very smooth. Thank you for sharing it and the two classes.

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

@feiyue, thanks again for all your great work on this script. I just tested it on Win7 Pro 64-bit, AHK_L 1.1.30.01 (haven't upgraded yet), and it seems faster, and works great.
EDIT: Also fine with AHK_L 1.1.30.03.

Re: RPA General Discussion

Some thoughts on deciding whether or not to use RPA in your business: Before you automate, consider these points: 1. Do you have processes that require a large, dedicated, tech-savvy staff? 2. Can you identify each time-consuming sub-process? 3. Do you have processes needing additional staff during ...

Re: ROTView

@Tigerlily, I think the probe feature just confirms for you that the IUnknown interface of the object is still available to query. Could certainly be wrong :) I don't know offhand how to toggle or merge different instances of the same program on the ROT. You might try to grab the hwnd of each, and t...

Hi, I went through UiPath training online. There are lots of resources. The Community Edition expires every 12 weeks, and you have to renew (still free).

Re: Class RichEdit - update on 2015-04-14 (v0.1.05.00)

@m3user, that's interesting. I just tried it with GMail also, and all that pasted was text. So I tried opening an RTF file with WordPad, copied an image and text, same problem.
I'm betting GMail just doesn't accept RTF, but I haven't checked into it any further.

Re: UiPath related

Perhaps this should have gone in the first post in this topic. Here's an example of how a "flowchart" workflow looks in the UiPath designer. Levenshtein.PNG As you can see, UiPath allows annotation of each element of the workflow. As tank points out elsewhere, it's critical to liberally comment and ...

UiPath related

First, thanks to those who created this sub-forum. I've been using AHK with UiPath since about October 2017. I had to take a break from UiPath for well over a year, but I have the latest community edition installed again, and have AutoHotkey running. I'll share some of my experiences here. They may ...

Thanks, tank! Very useful. As tank says, the concepts he describes will apply basically across the board in RPA (and, for that matter, BPM to some degree).

SOTE, thanks for that link to the Automation Anywhere community edition. In case it might help someone, you have to first sign up for the Community Edition. It's fast. Then you have to log on to the website provided in the email you'll get, and download the client from there. (I chose to add Java pl...
