Re: Windows 7 alt-tab. Autohotkey doesn't release the alt key. (noob) Topic is solved

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks! send {LAlt Down} send {Tab} if GetKeyState("LButton","p") { send {LAlt Up} } I don't know what gesture you are using exactly to start the script but by the time you choose a window by clicking, the script will already have exited. The GetKeyState will al...

Re: SENDING ^C IN UNICODE LANGUAGES

How to send ^c in unicode, non latin based languages? I was trying to send ^C in Hindi, but it sends letter C instead of ^C. Knowing that Send {U+0063} is for latin unicode 'c' My 1st thought was Send ^{U+0063} but it doesn't work So I did it like this: key := Chr(0x0063) Send ^{%key%} Hope that he...

You should post your SetTimer code and any related error messages.

Re: Countdown which shows Loop's duration.

Any commands like ClipWait, WinWait, KeyWait or Sleep will block the running thread from doing anything else. By using SetTimer you can have other code running at the same time. Timers are useful because they run asynchronously, meaning that they will run at the specified frequency (interval) even w...

Re: Hotstrings from file

The resulting array of StrSplit contains strings ... not sure what you were trying to do with "%SomeVar%"
This line ... Hotstring(HString, Replacement, 1) ... or like this ... Hotstring(Array[1], Array[2], 1) ... to avoid useless variables.

Re: Help for RegExMatch

FC works only because you have an If statement with a RegExReplace to handle that specific case.
Either you do the same for CSKA and any other cases or you use a dictionary to filter those accronyms.

Re: Dequeue a class via an enumeration loop

Yeah, .Delete(index) worked wonders using one loop. Well I've learned 2 things from that post ... You can create custom enum for ahk object ( never crossed my mind because I never needed them, then again I should've guessed that almost anything possible in c++ is possible in ahk ) Forum is blocking...

Re: Welcome and if you need help

Hi, I was trying to reply to this post: https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=29313 I copy/pasted some of his code and was trying to add a code block to my response but after narrowing it down this part ( see below ) gets me a weird message. I'm pretty sure I already used SubStr in a pre...

Re: Dequeue a class via an enumeration loop

Here is more extensive code with classes Are you trying to get the class to suit your needs or you are only trying to get your code to work with it ? If .Delete(index) doesn't work for you, you could always store the index/key to be removed in an array then dequeue them in another loop. Somehow I c...

Re: GuiControlGet seems to fail inside function

Could someone please tell why I'm not able to get the state of the checkbox in the commented line (GuiControlGet, CheckBoxState,,10:SpecialChk). 1- Your code has structure issue, you shouldn't have a label inside a function. 2- The variable SpecialChk is local to the function, even tho the label is...

Re: Pedantic nerd question: Declaring nil variables !

1. You do not declare a variable as "". You declare a variable as global, and then assign it the value "". 2. The declaration is irrelevant because you have no functions. 3. The assignment is irrelevant because all variables start off blank/empty. 4. What address the variable returns has nothing to...

Re: An attempt at a script that creates MsgBoxes/InputBoxes for other scripts

In AHK v1, Gui commands have the severe disadvantage of making a script '#Persistent' I get that, but every script should have an exit point, as for msgbox they are blocking the code flow anyway so ... yeah ... I tried moving out the labels from the function. The day you forget about labels and sta...
