VLC auto download subtitles

Hi, this might be called "luxury" but it would save me a lot of nerve especially because I always watch media with subtitles. I asked the plugin authors to add a hotkey for this but there are no plans to implement it in the near future. A script that automatically searches for subtitles by hash and ...

Re: Resume script after reboot: How to choco install, reboot, choco install?

I don't know if AutoHotkey is the right application to do this but I don't really find a way with a normal batch script that I understand. :? Maybe this helps? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3331947/resume-batch-script-after-computer-restart https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1450724-powers...

Re: Script to close all open windows

It somehow closes even the desktop shortcuts but first there are a lot of random windows like those posted above. :eh: Forget it, I don't want to waste more of your time for something I already have an application for. #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey re...

Resume script after reboot: How to choco install, reboot, choco install?

How to create a little script (one double klick) that automatically installs a predefined set of Software from Chocolatey but with some controlled reboots between the install commands to prevent interdependencies? :) Example: choco install ccleaner audacity firefox -y reboot & wait 30 seconds after ...

Re: Script to close all open windows

If I press "F1" while the try icon is running I get multiple of those:
11.png
11.png (35.4 KiB) Viewed 5711 times
22.png
22.png (14.59 KiB) Viewed 5711 times
If I click OK OK OK all windows are closing but I was hoping it would be even faster than CloseAll. Just one double klick.

So the above code does not close any windows? It closes some, but not all? The code would not run at all?
You're right, I'm sorry. It closes nothing, there is just a tray icon of AutoHotKey...

Re: ShutUp10 Automation

ShutUp10 is a GUI to the changes made primarily to the registry but also to 'services' and 'scheduled tasks'. It appears to be benign (i.e. I can't see any contra-indications or any 'phone home' functionality) but there's no reason for you not to (re-)create the changes made using AHK, thus staying...

Re: ShutUp10 Automation

No answer... I assume this is not possible then. :( ShutUp10 only manipulates the Registry. I don't know if automating the ShutUp10 program itself is easily done, but one option is using a program like RegFromApp or a program like RegShot or SysTracer to determine the changes made by ShutUp10 and p...

Re: Create script that handles registry variables

I've created a scheduled task to take care of that which means this prompt is not only unnecessary it's also a security risk if accidentally clicked. Found the solution! If somebody has or is going to have the same issue, just add the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlS...

I still have a small question if you don't mind: How to completely disable or hide the following question of Windows or maybe just click automatically yes?

Re: Create script that handles registry variables

Thanks, the script is working but unfortunately not as a scheduled task. At least now I know the issue lies with task scheduler!

Thank you for your time and work! You were a huge help! Thanks!

Re: Create script that handles registry variables

I've converted the .ahk to .exe and created an scheduled task to run it when a user logs in. That works, but I need to run the .exe at startup not at login which means before a user even has to login. I ticked "run whether user is logged on or not" and switched the trigger from user logon to startup...

ShutUp10 Automation

ShutUp10 is a very simple and very effective tool against Microsofts spy practices. but to use it efficiently you have to run it more or less every day manually. Is it possible to create a script that runs the program (portable.exe) and skips the following steps by itself so that you automatically r...

Re: Create script that handles registry variables

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really appreciate your time! It's working as hoped! I decided to use a combination of the first and the third script. First one always at startup and the third as a scheduled task triggered when connected to a new network. I hope you can answer this questio...
