Re: Fileappend failed to write html on folder %temp% Topic is solved

:D you are right , but i did this ( %temp% is empty) to create an error to show in the msgbox . My guess is that OP has a non standard temp folder and defines it in %temp% . btw thanks for your informative posts Flipeador i learned a lot from them ( and kept some nice code bits that could be handy s...

Re: Do you have any religion? | What's your religion?

I believe religion is an easy way out of questions the conscious mind throws up . I just accept that you can ask questions that simply do not have answers but just semantic constructions like where is the beginning of a circle.So i voted agnostic.

Re: Fileappend failed to write html on folder %temp% Topic is solved

Use a_lasterror and lookup the error code.

Code: Select all

;https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/Debug/system-error-codes

fileappend, some_text ,%temp%
msgbox % a_lasterror

Re: Making .BMPs from PixelGetColor rectangle scans?

Xtra said it all ...it is slow using pixelgetcolor! You could get the screen area using gdip ,save it to bmp if needed .If you want to search the pixel values search for "lockbits" on this forum. https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/91427-gdi-how-to-get-bitmap-from-certain-area-of-screen/ gdip lbrary ...

Re: Does Machine code function works on X64?

If you have the source code you can compile it to MC for 64 bit instead of 32.Most newer examples contain both to be compatible with 64bit.

Re: Need help comparing a variable to a hex value Topic is solved

You can compare all your values as strings ( numbers or mixed with letters)

Code: Select all

data = 010000B600010000

if  (data="010000B600010000")
msgbox found
else
msgbox not found

Re: FileRead does not get whole file Topic is solved

It works for me but maybe if you display it using a msgbox it exceeds the max number of characters for a messagebox. If you display the last characters you can see it is the end of the file. sfile=ZiT83rKH.txt FileRead, data,%sfile% filegetsize,len,%sfile% msgbox % strlen(data) "`n" len MsgBox, % su...

Re: FileRead does not get whole file Topic is solved

You could try to download it to a variable instead of a file. from the help on urldownloadToFile command: ; Example: Download text to a variable: whr := ComObjCreate("WinHttp.WinHttpRequest.5.1") whr.Open("GET", "https://autohotkey.com/download/1.1/version.txt", true) whr.Send() ; Using 'true' above...

You could use regex dynamic hotstrings . https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/114764-regex-dynamic-hotstrings/ Here is a proof of concept : Just type 11in updated to use decimal numbers like 11.5 /* Function: HotStrings Dynamically adds regular expression hotstrings.
