Re: Failed attempt to launch program or document: Steam.exe

Hi,

You must add the path to the exe.
For example:
Run "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe"

P.S: And what about the first line of your code? I don't see any sense there.

Re: script working in background in browser

Hi and welcome to the AHK forums. It is possible to use a script for a specific application only. In your case it would mean if you press F6, F9 etc. in other applications, your script won't affect them. Only in Chrome. In order to have this working, you can do the following: Create this script or a...

Re: AHK Scripts not working after PC turned off Topic is solved

Yes, imagine you have some script which causes errors (e.g. ctrl key pressed permanently).
Then a reboot would be your last chance to have the issue solved.

Re: How do I make 'c' send 'a' here? Topic is solved

Ah, now it seems to be clear.
Well, in other words, the $ breaks the chain.
If you specify that a = b, and c = a, the chain, when pressing c, would be c -> a -> b
The $ prevents this.

Thanks!

Re: HOW TO SEND THIS INSIDE THE GAME

Hi, If you know the class name, you could work with it. #if WinActive("ahk_class Afx:00400000:8:00010003:01900011:022F1055") Space:: KeyWait, Space, D ControlSend,, {Space}, ahk_id %Notepadid1% ControlSend,, {Space}, ahk_id %Notepadid2% ControlSend,, {Space}, ahk_id %Notepadid3% Return Try it and le...

It forces the hook in the hotkey.

Code: Select all

$c::

Interesting, but what exactly do you mean by "It forces the hook in the hotkey."?
I understand the words, but I don't get the meaning...

Small issue with copying a variable to the clipboard Topic is solved

Hi, I use this code to get the class name of the highlighted window: ^+F1:: WinGetClass, class, A MsgBox, Class of current window is "%class%". Instead of writing the determinated class, I thought it might be a good idea to copy the value to the clipboard. So I rewrote the code: ^+F1:: Clipboard = t...

Created Hotkey doesn't get accepted by a game Topic is solved

Hi, I wrote this little script: ;Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (Turns Left Windows key into the Ctrl key) #if WinActive("ahk_class IW5") LWin::Ctrl return When I start the game, the left window key is indeed ctrl. In the game controls I can set this key to an action. When I'm starting a match, it do...

Re: Issue with #if WinActive Topic is solved

Hi, I use this code to get the class of a window: ^+F1:: WinGetClass, class, A MsgBox, Class of current window is "%class%". It actually says the class is "IrfanView". Or do you think this WinSpy will give me "better" information? To be honest I have no idea about the Edit control! Basically I just ...

Re: Issue with #if WinActive Topic is solved

By the way, I tried your code and not even this one works - strange.
Even if IrfanView is on foreground.

I use IrfanView 4.50 64 Bit.

Re: Issue with #if WinActive Topic is solved

Thank you for your support, guys. It worked! May I ask another question? I tried to send this hotkey to IrfanView when the program is not in foreground. Issue with #if WinActive Topic is solved

Hi, I used #if WinActive in a code and everything worked perfectly. This one works perfectly: #if WinActive("ahk_class Valve001") <::Alt return The < key gets converted to Alt, only if the specific application is running + in foreground. I created another code (almost the same logic), but it doesn't...

Re: Unable to work with special keys Topic is solved

Thanks again for your help, guys. May I ask something else? I'm trying to make the script be active only in Notepad++. I read in the tutorials and used the function GetClass to find out Notepad++'s class. ^+F1:: WinGetClass, class, A MsgBox, Class of current window is "%class%". The compiled script ...

Re: Unable to work with special keys Topic is solved

Nevermind, problem solved!

The reason was that Notepad++ was set to UTF, when saving the AHK codes.
After changing it to ANSI, it worked.

Is it generally better to have ANSI selected?
I also create lua scripts which get used by the Logitech Gaming Software.

Best regards - Viele Grüße ;)
