Re: Class_ScrollGUI - updated on 2015-03-13

I like how clean you can create a 1188 controls GUI :D Good to know that it's not only reproduced on my computer in my specific script. I gotta admit that I have no idea how to fix this either. I've gone through the class but since its majorly dllCalls and numput numget etc I can't understand where ...

Re: Class_ScrollGUI - updated on 2015-03-13

It’s probably just the sheer number of controls based on the fact that you’re mimicking an excel spreadsheet Yeah I agree with you but let's hope someone smarter than me can think of a way to handle this. In my example, there's not an enourmous amount of controls and still it feels like there is 10...

Re: Class_ScrollGUI - updated on 2015-03-13

just me Thanks for your reply! Here is the source but sorry for the mess, this is a work in progress and I'm far from polishing the formatting. ScrollGUI is instantiated on line 517 in AHK Studio (ScrollGUI.ahk is meant to be an #include file that I did not join) This is a AHK Gui that mimics a Exc...

Re: How to get the current Gui font w/o creating a control?

Should work for controls too: Hey, thanks! I've tested it and read the content of the function. It does work for what the function is called "GetFont()" But I'm afraid I am refering to a more complex "kind of font". I mean like everything that this GuiControl has relating to its display properties ...

Re: How to get the current Gui font w/o creating a control?

@teadrinker thanks,
Would this be meant to work with the hwnd of a GuiControl or is it restricted for a top level window?

Re: Class_ScrollGUI - updated on 2015-03-13

Hello just me I've been using this great class of yours in a script for a while without a problem. Thanks for sharing it its very practical. This week I started integrating it in a control-heavier project - I mean theres more Gui controls that gets populated onto the scrollable area. And I've been a...

Re: [GUI] Cue banner for edit controls (placeholder)

That's an interesting and useful idea in my opinion. Would be a nice practical thing to see listed in the autocomplete of a "IDE" and the AHK docs too. For example, ideally, the IDE would know that myEdit. has setCue(), setFont(), setValue(), setSize(), etc. And the AHK docs would have a explanation...

Re: How to get the current Gui font w/o creating a control?

BUMP, just me Did any one find how to solve OP question? (How to get a GuiControl current font) Reason: make it easy to toggle from one font to another for each controls in a Gui. Example : ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- toggle_row_highlight(boolean...

Re: Function to get focused Edit's ComboBox hwnd/classNN or vice versa

Amazing. Thanks I think this will be handy in the long term. I have a question: Why does the DllCall return a different kind of hwnd? It looks like the hwnd is already a "ahk_id" and the clue that indicates this that it doesn't have the hexadecimal format. Also you can directly use it in ...

Re: Function to get focused Edit's ComboBox hwnd/classNN or vice versa

Hello just me, thanks for the more appropriate method you shown. I think Im slowly getting the hang of translating a simple DllCall like this. Microsoft explains that the GetWindow function has two parameters : HWND GetWindow( HWND hWnd, UINT uCmd ); So a DllCall is basically always looking longer t...

Re: Function to get focused Edit's ComboBox hwnd/classNN or vice versa

Thanks for checking in. You're right the relationship is ComboBox being the parent of the Edit. You've made me want to reverse my initial request and go with the order of that parent child relationship just mentionned. What do you think of this wrapper to create ComboBoxes and storing it as an obje...

Re: Function to get focused Edit's ComboBox hwnd/classNN or vice versa

To expand on this subject in case any one reads it, I've been recently discovering Qt for Python which is basically a GUI library. There is this principle of ComboBox child-parent relationship with the Edit and the List. For example you can create a ComboBox which is a object by default and then you...

Possible to separate GUI process from Main script?

Hello is it possible to separate the execution process of a GUI and the "code behind" process?

I am wondering if thats possible and if yes, is it a good idea to do so?

Referencing c# wpf in mind

Thanks

Re: [Library] DSV Parser

Thanks for your detailed reply, its super interesting. I was not aware of Anki but I read the paragraph anyway lol. Seems gigantic and complex to parse correctly! Good job on accomplishing that. Sometimes we don't want to "re-invent" the wheel as they say but it still can be necessary in many scenar...

Do you talk about AHK GUI ComboBoxes?
Yes mostly, for convenience.
I think it would be useful if the Gui, Add, ComboBox, ... vCb1 gCb1 hwndhCb1 would be aware of its own Edit/ComboBox handle so that you can easily use both if needed.

Function to get focused Edit's ComboBox hwnd/classNN or vice versa

Would it be possible to implement a built-in and documented function that would be able to retrieve a Edit's parent ComboBox hwnd and/or classNN ? And also the other way around, get the Hwnd of a ComboBox's edit? I find it hard to get around this still after 1 year and a half with Ahk. Or probably m...

Re: [Library] DSV Parser

Nice code !
Thanks.

I am wondering why you did not use the built-in Loop, Parse, _, Csv ?
Was it for specific custom needs ?
- Seeing that you do some complex regexmatch stuff.
