Re: Basic windows 8 touchscreen tap recognition

Hi arcticir, I have also been interested in using AHK with Windows touch functions. CHOMP is just a user-customized version of the original script found in the first link I provided. If you want to understand how this all works, I think you should use the original script and only later look at CHOMP...

Re: Basic windows 8 touchscreen tap recognition

Hi arcticir, I think most of what you are trying to do is included in the script that has been posted here (see the "here" link at the top of the page for the most recent version): http://39kasen.sakura.ne.jp/rawinputcontroltest/ This is an on-screen keyboard that can be easily customized. Important...

Re: Height of a wrapped Gui Text control after changing text

Hi just me, Wow this is great. I've been testing your code throughout the day and it performs admirably. Thank you so much for your help, I learned quite a lot of stuff from your short script! Hopefully I can extend your strategy to other situations. toralf: Thanks a lot for your help and insight. T...

Re: Height of a wrapped Gui Text control after changing text

Hi toralf, Thanks again for your insight. After reading a bunch more, I concluded that it cannot be done without either deleting the Text control (which is not easily doable for my purpose) or destroying the Gui (which I can't do here). So I think I'll have to think of something else. In case you ar...

Re: Height of a wrapped Gui Text control after changing text

Hi toralf, Thanks a lot for your help, much appreciated. Unfortunately, I need a more general solution. This is for a program where the user will customize the text so I don't know what the number of rows will be before or after they modified the text. So maybe the text could start wrapped on any nu...

Height of a wrapped Gui Text control after changing text

Hi, The GuiControl help file states that a Text control will not be resized automatically after the text has been changed with the use of GuiControl. But does anybody know of a workaround that can be used to determine the height of a modified Text control? In the example below, pressing F7 makes it ...

Re: New design ahkscript homepage - feedback appreciated

Hi Guest, Great work on these. While I don't have much to offer in the way of design, maybe I can offer some comments about the wording and highlight a few typos (I'm a teacher so I guess that's what I do!) Below is a Dropbox link to a pdf file with comments about the latest page you uploaded "just ...

Re: htop mini ?!

Hi Masterfocus, In your last post when you say it misbehaves, is that when you are using Learning one's code or the Postmessage code? For me, the Postmessage code works well when you start the script but as soon as you activate another window and the Gui doesn't have the focus (and it never will aga...

Re: htop mini ?!

Maybe a mod could move this part of the thread in the help section has it is a good discussion but it's really taking the emphasis away from jNizM's great script... In any case, Datalife and tmplinshi: Your strategies work well to move the Gui but they don't address Masterfocus' point: If you give t...

Re: Change the image name in the GUI!

Hi Albiero,
Instead of destroying and rebuilding the Gui every time, have you considered just changing the image with Guicontrol?

Re: htop mini ?!

Hi Masterfocus,

You could perhaps use it as a g-label (on a picture/button or maybe a background picture?):

Label:
If Getkeystate("LButton","p")
DragNotActivate(hGui1)
Return

Re: htop mini ?!

Hi Masterfocus, Problems with style +E0x08000000 and that PostMessage code to drag the Gui have been documented before in the old forum. The following drag-no-activate strategy by Learning one works perfectly for me on Gui's with style +E0x08000000: http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/67566-solved...

Re: Changing the inking color

Oh this is great. Thanks for looking into this tidbit. Still two questions that puzzle me: 1) Any idea why it doesn't work when in the function? 2) If you try the code that I provided and use your code for the SliderSub label, why don't the ink and the progress control have the same color when you m...

Re: Changing the inking color

Hi tidbit, Thanks for taking the time to address my problem, much appreciated. Maybe I didn't explain it clearly in my first post, sorry for the confusion. What you mention already works well and I've been able to do it using two different ways: Box.DefaultDrawingAttributes.Color:=0x2CC59 or RGBval ...

Re: [Solved] COM INK control issues. KeyUp, KeyDown and KeyP

Hi TLM,
I'm not sure that's what you mean but if you are talking about smoothing of the ink strokes, I think it's because by default Antialiasing is set to true. Switch to false and it won't be smoothed:

ss.DefaultDrawingAttributes.Antialiased:=False

Re: Changing the inking color

Hi PuzzledGreatly, Thanks for your input. Indeed, that's what I also observe. But what's puzzling is that if you use a message box you can see that the output variable has the right format. It's exactly like what happens with the three possibilities that I showed. I really don't know what's going on...

Changing the inking color

Hi, Inspired by the great work of TLM and tidbit, I've been playing with inking features. I've been having difficulties in setting the color of the ink. More specifically, while I've been able to change the color by first defining a variable like this: RGBval := 0x2CC59 Box.DefaultDrawingAttributes....
