Re: Aero-style borders on a non-resizable Gui

Thanks for the help tmplinshi. It's really the Windows Aero thing (which is not available in Win XP) that really changes things. I'll try your suggestion of blocking drag, hopefully this will work. But I'll keep on looking to see if I can find a more direct solution. Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Aero-style borders on a non-resizable Gui

Hi tmplinshi, Thanks for the help, much appreciated. Your solution is nice. It's not exactly what I need (you can see in the image below that the two borders are very different: Aero + resizable Gui on the left, Aero + your solution on the right) but I'll try to see if I can use it. Thanks again. By...

[SOLVED] Aero-style borders on a non-resizable Gui

Hi, Is there a way for a Gui to have a border that is identical to the border that a resizable Gui would have, without making the Gui resizable. I'm using Windows 7 and, importantly for the look of the border, Windows Aero is turned on. For example, is there a way to give Gui 2 exactly the same bord...

Re: Provide the name and link to the thread in "Last Post"

Hi Zaelia, Thanks for the quick reply. Indeed that small icon leads to the last post, thanks for pointing it out. It would still be nice, if possible, to also have the name of the thread shown (so that I can actually know if I want to go and see that last post.) I have a slow internet connection at ...

Provide the name and link to the thread in "Last Post"

Hi, If possible, it would be useful to add on the main index page in the "Last Post" column the name and a link to the thread in which the last post was added (currently, we only see the date and the name of the poster). And perhaps maybe a small button to go directly to that last post. Hope this is...

Re: Links to get your synapses sparking

This is a fun thread! Here's my contribution: I am a scientist with very little artistic talent who uses Excel every day and this blew my mind the first time I saw it. This artist uses Excel to build sumptuous canvases/spreadsheets! You can even download some of his Excel spreadsheets and verify for...

Re: AHK Browser Display - Scaled

Hi mikek, I'm not sure I understand your resizing requirement but maybe this could help? If you are using Win 7 or Vista, you could maybe look into including the Windows Aero thumbnails in your Gui (which means you would have a real time thumbnail of the size you want, but you do have to have Aero t...

Start a "Suggestions and issues with this forum" category

Hi tank, Seeing as everyone is very enthusiastic about this, if you don't want to lose your mind reading all the posts for suggestions and improvements to this site, how about you add something like a "Suggestions, improvements, bugs ans issues with this forum" category on the main index page. You c...

Re: Thanks tank!

Thanks a lot tank for taking the lead on this. I may not be an AHK super user, but it's been very painful to see the official website being so dysfunctional and the community so frustrated. Hopefully all your efforts will lead to a forum where member input will be more respected and valued.
