Re: .NET Framework Interop (CLR, C#, VB)

Hi,

I have a dll that was created in .net and want to expose the functions for use in AutoHotkey. I think this thread provides the tools to do that but I need a jump start. Any suggestions? I have a list of all the classes / functions in the dll. I disassembled it with ildasm.exe.

Re: SOLVED: Problem with functions and SetTimer Topic is solved

I like using functions instead of labels but with timers I usually want it to do something that requires knowledge of the "current state" of things. Lexikos can check me here but I usually use: fn := Func("myFunction").bind(payload) SetTimer, %fn%, 10 . . . myFunction(obj) { } where the variable "pa...

Re: Display ripple effect when mouse click

This submission packs some of the nuts and bolts in a dll. I believe it is similar but I have not run yours yet.

Send and receive hex over USB virtual com port

Hi, I need to send and receive hex data over a USB mapped to com4. I've searched the forums but am having little success... it seems the search selection for using all terms vs. using individual terms returns the same result. I seem to remember someone contributing an HID class. Is that what I need?...

binding a function as gLabel and ByRef question

Hi, The following script illustrates the situation. Two sets of variables are created, standard variables that are passed ByRef and an object that will be passed directly. Two buttons are set up and each calls its own function that modifies one set of values. A tootip displays the current contents. ...

Re: klomb's Scripts

Don't despair, I have posted some of my scripts after putting tons of hours into them. I always hope they will get recognized and become useful to many. But, alas, most times I get yawns. That's OK, I use my scripts everyday and am very proud of them.

Re: [Solved] Splitting a Long Line - Indexed variables

Can I ask what the ".:" operator is? I'm not familiar with that one and I don't see it in the docs on the operator page.

Just ran into one that made me chuckle:

"v1.1.19.03 can't run broken scripts any more than other versions."

This was in response to someone suggesting a newer version will solve a problem they have.

Re: Why does this contitional hotkey not work?

Here's another version of this issue I noticed and I probably have another misunderstanding. My "F9" is working fine since the "K" vs "k" was resolved. But here, I can call the class method with in-line code but it fails to fire with a hotkey assigned. Can I not create a function object pointing to ...

Whoa... I had no idea that this was case sensitive given that almost everything in AHK is not case sensitive. Thanks. I thought that I might have found a bug or something... instead the bug was in my understanding.

Why does this contitional hotkey not work?

Hi, I was creating a simple script that would allow me to do some debugging things only while the ListLines or ListVars screen is active. I was going to use a conditional hotkey but I found that the following does not fire the hotkey unless I comment out the line that makes it conditional. I am usin...

Re: OnWin() - call function on window event (WinWaitXXX asyn

Coco,

I have noticed that a new instance of AutoHotKey appears in task manager for each "OnWin" that is pending. They each have a CPU usage of 13 and the fan on my machine kicks into high gear.

Just an observation.

Re: OnWin() - call function on window event (WinWaitXXX asyn

Coco, I like it because I can replace timers that check for existence of windows periodically. I have a script that runs when an Excel spreadsheet becomes active but I'm finding that your utility does not sense the close of the Excel program unless I set "DetectHiddenWindows" to "Off" in your code. ...

Re: Speeding up com control of Excel

jethrow, Yes, using object pointers did speed it up a little. Thanks. That is probably a best practice in general. What I found is really doing the trick for me is turning off screen updating then turn it back on after I'm done fooling with the chart. This really makes it respond in real time. Relayer

Re: Speeding up com control of Excel

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately, what I am doing requires the Excel UI to be active. Also, I'm not messing with arrays of data per se. Here's what I'm doing in short: making huge data sets visible in charts by allowing data scrolling and panning. It works by using a named range and then ad...

Speeding up com control of Excel

Hi, I really like controlling Excel with AHK. I find it much more convenient than dealing with Excel macros... that might just be me. Anyway, is there anything I should be doing to allow the interface to work as quickly as possible? Most functions are simple enough that the lag time is insignificant...

Re: ObjRegisterActive

Lexikos,

I specified that it would just be text passed across the hidden Gui. I never expected to be able to send objects that way.
The use of a hidden GUI to pass a variable value via text still look attractive.
