Thnx for your help Lexikos - seems like the spamming has stopped now as i have not received any during the past 2 hours.
Apologies: I have had ONE topic to which i would have been notified, although i cancelled that notification after the very first two spamming emails, but apparently to no avail.

Nope, My antivirus is not blocking AHK in any way. I first reported the problem way back when i wanted to update/upgrade from +- AHK v 1.1.23. The Compiler problem is a new one though....it does not accept any input where to place the compiled (.exe) program and it does not accept any of my own icon...

I uninstalled AHK v1.1.30.0 completely with 10bit Uninstall. Then try to install it again...NO SUCH LUCK !! After reading the posts on Winmove not moving, i tried to repair my AHK v1.1.28 and then included the checkmark "with gui access" Then As the whole program acted weird ( eg compiler chose one icon and stuck with it) , i uninstalled AHK completely and deleted everything associated with it, before...

Hi, I have this very same problem since AHK v 1.1.24. and also "Autohotkey cannot find the program path"...or something similar. The .exe file looks like a normal .ahk file ( why not a different icon ? ) and that also presented a problem for me. Now all i do, is copy and paste and mix all the setup ...

After i`ve tried everything to uninstall or even re - install AutoHotkey, i got nowhere, so i decided to delete AutoHotkey`s folder.
BIG mistake !!
Had to do a restore operation.
Now i`ve decided to leave it just as is and not to update at all.

It seems i cannot update AutoHotkey from v1.1.23.
Every time i get the msg: Error - AutoHotkey U32.exe...Access denied.

You didn`t really need a hotkey to open one program. Click on program --- send to desktop as shortcut -----copy to taskbar....delete shortcut on desktop.
