Re: UIA_Interface - some beginning scripts
wpb , that UiDesktopAutomation.dll is a nice find. Using the CLR lib it's actually easier to automate than with UIAutomation.ahk. I have a little example using the Win10 calculator if you want me to post it (trivial, but it's a PoC). The spy tool you found is also very nice. Thanks! Regards, burque...

@Gio, I still sometimes get that error script errors (not sure about the security error). Does it do that for all pages? EDIT: I don't have Windows 11, though. Windows 10.

@joedf, the reason I posted this is because githubstatus.com was reporting that it was up, when it was not, although it did report issues with pull requests.

Re: UIA_Interface - some beginning scripts
@wpb, interestingly enough (or not :) ) if I comment out the line with that error (which you rightly point out) the script works. If I change the variable to "fileConditon" it doesn't work on my system. You might try that little tool I posted above to find elements, it (sort of) works. Best regards,...

Re: UIA_Interface - some beginning scripts
wpb , I just ran the Notepad example and one of the Word examples. Both still working for me. What version of AHK are you using? I'm running Win10 Pro 64-bit, AHK v1.33.10. EDIT: This is the Notepad version I just ran: #NoEnv SendMode Input SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% SetTitleMatchMode, 2 lorem = (...

@wpb, try this if you would.
The Msgbox should show '1', that is, true.

Great blog post by creator of SumatraPDF
Post is here. Some of my favorite lines: Thinking outside of the box is hard because the box is invisible. Small and fast - pick both [...] This comes back to Jeff Bezos' wisdom: there will never be a time when users want bloated and slow apps so being small and fast is a permanent advantage. A big...

DarkReader browser extension
DarkReader.org I'm not a huge fan of dark themes, but for some websites it's nice to be able to switch. Available for Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari (iPhone too, apparently). Once it's installed, click on the image.png on your toolbar/menubar where your extensions show up to access the DarkReader se...

Not sure what's happening for me. This is using AutoHotkey64.exe just downloaded from your github page. Same script I just copied from your post.

Re: AutoHotkey.dll v2 beta release - COM issue
I'm trying to access a V2 COM object from AHK v1. That won't work for v1. I get this error when I run that using AHK V2-beta1: --------------------------- test3.ahk --------------------------- Error: (0x8002000E) Invalid number of parameters. Specifically: ahkReady Line# 001: ahk := ComObject("AutoH...

Re: AutoHotkey.dll v2 beta release - COM issue
I guess I'm not up to speed on this. Might I ask how I would convert the script below to use your DLL? This is using the January 2021 version of AHK Dll v. 2. ahk := ComObjCreate("AutoHotkey2.Script") ahk.ahktextdll("") ahk.ahkexec("#Persistent`nMsgbox(""Hello AHK"") ") ;~ while (ahk.ahkReady()) { ;...
