Remove the title bar from Windows 10 calculator?

wasn't able to remove the title bar from the Windows 10 calculator

Is there a way to do that with Autohotkey?

if you're thinking

Code: Select all

WinSet, Style, -0xC00000, A
from the docs, that doesn't remove the title bar for the Windows 10 calculator

Looks like some of these things could be very useful in the documentation, have you considered adding it?

Re: Base Frame for AutoHotKey Scripts (Installer ...)

Hi @bichlepa , wanted to use the library but it's still GPL on GitHub, and in all its files.
Did you decided to go eventually with MIT, or GPL?

Re: Clicking on an object using UIA? (UI automation) Topic is solved

one of the links points to AutoIt, I don't know much about it other than it's another automation language which if I remember correctly has some common roots with autohotkey. I believe I found the two functions I need to call to make it work with UIA, but I don't know how to invoke them/structure th...

Re: How do you "click" the 5 number on the Windows 10 calculator

I'm wondering would using UIA produce more consistent results, in UIA you have the AutomationId > Invoke_Invoke. from what I checked these always exist from - https://github.com/neptercn/UIAutomation/blob/master/UIA2.ahk do you know how to use them? ; Retrieves the Microsoft UI Automation identifier...

Re: How do you "click" the 5 number on the Windows 10 calculator

It doesn't give an error anymore, But it doesn't find the element as well even if I can see that It has a name.
Is there a limit on how deep the script is searching through the tree? Could be that it's not getting deep enough to find those elements?

wow.. sorry I didn't know anybody replied to the post, it seems that to get notified by email you need to manually turn it on in the settings

also rather not movie the mouse to the element, I was hoping more to be using something native like Invoke(); But I don't know how

Re: How do you "click" the 5 number on the Windows 10 calculator

I've just checked a few other elements by name, and it worked
the errors seems to be appearing only for some elements, any idea how I can make it more consistent?
maybe by using something more constant like the "AutomationID" of an element like I see in the available parameters?

Re: How do you "click" the 5 number on the Windows 10 calculator

it's a free application, if you're feeling generous you can download it and see what happens when you use the errors that happen when you interact with it
(https://www.adobe.com/products/xd.html)

I'll be extremely grateful, I've been stuck trying to do this for a long long time

Re: How do you "click" the 5 number on the Windows 10 calculator

Thanks tmplinshi, but it didn't work on my end for some reason. couldn't I just address the name or value of an object, instead of having the path (4,2,14,6). For example the script below gets the name/value of an object underneath the mouse and works great in calculator, what I'm wondering is could...

It's above my knowledge, you know how to do that?
I can partially understand the code but not good enough yet, I don't exactly know what each thing does there
and how it gets triggered in general
