Afaics, the v2 zip only contains the two files AutoHotkey U32 .exe and AutoHotkey U64 .exe . If you installed v1 first, ahk-files will be associated with autohotkey.exe (which would still be the v1 version). You should probably rename one the two v2 exes (depending on the bitness you want, 32 or 64...

So I downloaded AHK v1 from https://www.autohotkey.com/download/ and the binaries from https://www.autohotkey.com/v2/ I launched the AHK installer, then took everything from the unzipped AHK 2 folder and pasted it into Program Files/AutoHotKey, overwriting anything that had the same name. Huh, I'm pretty sure I did use v2 for both, but maybe I didn't or forgot a step or something? I'll try reinstalling to see what happens. Thanks for the lead!
