Re: Help with manifest Topic is solved

Use the new Compiler Directives, available in AutoHotkey version 1.1.33.00 and later.
The directive you want is UpdateManifest.

Re: Automatic inclusion doesn't work with globals

... Ahk2Exe reads all include files and combines into one. It runs AutoHotkey.exe /iLib to determine which files should be "auto-included". It presumably does not add an "Exit" at the end of the main script prior to "auto-included" files, so it is possible for them to auto-execute. This could be co...

Re: Save file as UTF-8

@lexikos The faq entries are different between v1 and v2, but on further reading I see that AutoHotkey v2 defaults to UTF-8 for script files so saving them as UTF-8 with BOM is not so important in this case.

Re: Save file as UTF-8

It’s the faq that is out of date, actually. (Well, the v1 faq is correct but the v2 faq is not.) When a Unicode file is saved with BOM this gives certainty that the file is Unicode. Otherwise software accessing the file has to guess what encoding was used when the file was written. And the trouble w...

Re: Upcoming Ahk2Exe Changes (2019)

I took the liberty of replacing /inGui with /gui, so that I can release v1.1.33. I can't see any logical reason for /in and /gui to be combined. While I was at it, I cleaned up the command line processing and fixed a couple of related bugs. (Edit: The v1.1.33 release is being delayed by an issue wi...

Ahk2Exe source code link

@joedf The link to Ahk2Exe source on the front page points to Lexikos's version. Are you able to adjust this sometime? Thanks.

Re: how to change ahk default icon

Check out the new Compiler Directives available in AutoHotkey version 1.1.33+. You can use the SetMainIcon and AddResource directives in your script to set the icons needed. To do this in a standard way you can put these directives into a source file and #Include this file into your scripts.

Re: Loop, Files, *.csv match 1.csv and 1.csvabc Topic is solved

This Windows 'effect' as described by the OP depends on whether 8dot3names is switched on or not for the disk containing the relevant files. If 8dot3names is on, matching is done on both the long name and the short name. You can confirm this from an administrator DOS prompt by typing fsutil 8dot3nam...

Re: the old 1LineIf debate, workaround?

not too important to note especially as the function is depreciated , but i changed ... Note that the phrase the function is depreciated in the docs is misleading. What it really means is there is no equivalent function in ahk v2. The 'depreciated' statement works now in v1.1 and will continue to w...

Re: Error message compiling AHK 1.1.33.00 Topic is solved

If compression is not specified in the command line, it defaults to whatever was last specified in the GUI.

So if you bring up the GUI ('Convert ahk to exe') and set the compression to 'none', then close the GUI, you should be all set Into the future.

Re: Error message compiling AHK 1.1.33.00 Topic is solved

PuzzledGreatly When compiling, if you select one of the compression options and the appropriate compressor .exe is not in the Compiler directory you will see this warning message. Either don’t select a compression option or install the appropriate compression .exe in the compiler directory. See the...

Perhaps Ahk2Exe should also check for AutoHotkeyU32.exe.
I have recently made this change to the source of Ahk2Exe.

Re: Ahk2exe 1.1.33.00 : 'autohotkey.exe could not be located'

For example, if you are using AutoHotkeyU64.exe for executing your scripts, copy this file into the same directory, and rename to AutoHotkey.exe. See this example: Directory of F:\AutoHotkey\AutoHotkey_1.1.33.00 09-Jul-2020 10:58 AM <DIR> . 09-Jul-2020 10:58 AM <DIR> .. 30-Jun-2020 04:12 PM 1,845,68...
