Re: AHK Portable Installer v1.15 (now fully portable)

Changes for v1.15: * Added conditions to prevent some overlooked registry checks/modifications when in portable mode. * these checks should only happen in non-portable mode Changes for v1.14: * Added hotkey CTRL + MButton for compiling scripts. * Removed "Ahk2Exe_Handler.ahk" and "AhkLauncher.ahk". ...

Re: Upcoming Ahk2Exe Changes (2021)

I know i asked a question similar to this before, but this general idea is slightly different. Is it possible to setup Ahk2Exe as a "standalone" compiler, and not require any specific AutoHotkey.exe version in the parent folder... AND be able to cater to multiple previous versions of AutoHotkey? Or ...

Re: Ahk2Exe_H - use one version for both v1 and v2?

Hey HotKeyIt , another question about Ahk2Exe setup options for AHK_H. I'm in the process of trying this now, and it seems possible in theory. I'm just wondering if there is anything lesser known about how the compiler works that would make doing this a bad idea? So my main questions are: Is it nece...

Re: AHK Portable Installer v1.12 (well... semi-portable)

Changes for v1.12:
  • updated for AHK v2 a131
  • now, when modifying a match string in "AHK Launcher" tab, the selected entry is simply updated, instead of refreshing the entire list.
  • Updated README
Check the OP for a poll about "Fully Portable" mode.

Re: Back to #InstallKeybdHook and #InstallMouseHook?? Topic is solved

Yah believe it or not. I get an error with InstallKeybdHook() and InstallMouseHook().

And when I put it back to the directive version, no errors are thrown. When this update first happened, the old directives threw errors if I remember correctly.

Back to #InstallKeybdHook and #InstallMouseHook?? Topic is solved

Just noticed that a131 doesn't use the command/function version of the keyboard/mouse hooks.

Was this intentional?

Re: CliSAK class - 2020/11/12

phacks Hah! Good catch :P ... this lib is actually due for an update. It's probably not necessary to be honest (given that .CtrlBreak() is called already). The main thing to check is the TaskManager. Be sure that your app is properly terminating. Don't only look for instances of cmd.exe but also co...

Re: GDI/P - LoadPicture() return type - HBITMAP? Topic is solved

Thanks @isahound. I definitely plan to implement some custom filters later on down the road, once I'm able to wrap my head around this stuff more. Thanks for the tip about the bottom-up vs top-down. I forgot about that. And I'm sure that will cause me some headaches if I forget again prior to trying...

Re: GDI - AHK v2 mem usage question (or maybe memory leak on my part)

Using a Loop instead of For certainly works, as long as the array is linear of course.

The only way I can think of to avoid this leak with a Map is to store the key names in a separate linear array.

I tried Array.__Enum() as well, and got the same result.

Thanks @swagfag. That makes sense.

Edit: I'll play around with this and see if i can figure any kind of work around.

GDI - AHK v2 mem usage question (or maybe memory leak on my part)

I'm trying to make a GDI class lib, and I'm not sure if the following example is a memory leak, or is expected overhead. I tried to make this cross-section as small as possible Method #1 below simply creates / destroys 1 DC and 1 brush using DllCall(). Method #2 uses some of my class wrapper bits to...

GDI++ - class wrapper - 2021/04/01 - a129 - EXPERIMENT

The old Gdip_all.ahk is now converted and ready for use for AHK v2 a129 on the repo below. I have converted both the original and the robodesign version. Both are on the repo with examples. But that is not actually the main event! =====================================================================...

Re: GDI/P - LoadPicture() return type - HBITMAP? Topic is solved

Thanks @isahound! Yah I'm aware of those constants. That is good info. I'm mainly trying to have a better understanding of bitmap, HBITMAP, DIB, DDB, etc, as it pertains to GDI (not GDI+). I know the 2 are very much related, i'm just trying to wrap my brain around the main differences at this stage....

Thanks lexikos.

I know that was a fairly simple question. I'm just trying to lay my foundation (and temper expectations) for my up-and-coming experiments.
