Re: hide a specific tray icon on demand

This shows you how to do it. Incorporate it into your code however you want. Regards, Joe Program:="anyprog.exe" WhichTray:=1 ; 0==>NotifyIconOverflowWindow (overflow tray) 1==>Shell_TrayWnd (main tray) oIconInfo:=TrayIcon_GetInfo(Program) ProgIDcmd:=oIconInfo[1].IDcmd ProgTooltip:=oIconInfo[1].tool...

Re: Modify recursive function that uses Outlook COM to loop through all folders/emails

I want to add that I'm not wedded to using that recursive function, or that the solution has to contain a recursive function. I'd be fine with any code that uses Outlook COM to traverse all the folders in a specified Outlook email account and is able to capture the full path to each folder/subfolder...

Modify recursive function that uses Outlook COM to loop through all folders/emails

Hi Folks, I'm using the recursive function posted here: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=61520#p260796 It loops through all the subfolders in Outlook based on an email address and a starting (root) folder. I adapted it (and the code that calls it) as follows: • Uses ComObjCreate ins...

Re: How to detect hotkeys and enter keys in a listview Topic is solved

For anyone following this thread, I should point out that the right-click test that I added to just me's code is actually checking for a logical right-click (i.e., a secondary click), not a physical right-click. In other words, if the primary and secondary mouse buttons are swapped (often done by le...

Re: How to detect hotkeys and enter keys in a listview Topic is solved

Our messages crossed...I did not look at your last posted code and it is 3:30am in my neck of the woods, so I'm packing it in now. Will check back into the thread first thing in my morning (or early afternoon) to see how you're doing. If you don't have it working by then, I suggest posting your enti...

Re: How to detect hotkeys and enter keys in a listview Topic is solved

Maybe this code will make it clearer for you (with all credit to just me): #NoEnv #SingleInstance force Gui, Add, ListView, w400 r20 AltSubmit vLV hwndHLV gLabel, Column1|Column2 Loop, 10 LV_Add("", "1" . A_Index, "2" . A_Index) Gui, Add, Edit, wp, Click here to test LV not having focus Gui, Show, ,...

It isn't stand-alone code. It is a replacement for the Label: path code in just me's post.

Re: How to detect hotkeys and enter keys in a listview Topic is solved

Just another 'special' ListView thingy Hi just me, Very nice! Seems to provide a great way to do something I've been wondering about...detecting a right-click on a ListView row. I added this code to your Label: path: If (A_GuiEvent == "RightClick") MsgBox, You did a Right-Click on ListView item# %A...

Re: How to detect hotkeys and enter keys in a listview Topic is solved

I included examples in the following code Hi just me, I've always used the following two-step method to detect the Enter key in a ListView: (1) Add a hidden, default button with this code: Gui,Add,Button,Hidden Default,Default (2) Sample code for that button (getting the value in column 1): ButtonD...

AHK U64 1.1.33.02

Tested on two monitors at 100%:

Re: Distinguish between left-click on keyboard's touchpad mouse button and left-click via touchpad tap

EitherMouse can detect the mouse user is currently using in real time Yes, but on my keyboard with the built-in mouse/touchpad, it can't tell the difference between a left-click on the mouse button and a tap on the touchpad, which also behaves like a left-click. if you're trying to maintain touchpa...

Hi mikey, Thanks for those links...unfortunately, no joy, but they were worth a try. Hi rommmcek, Thanks for letting me know about EitherMouse...I was not aware of it...very interesting program! It works well, but is not able to distinguish between a click on the left mouse button and a tap on the t...

Re: Distinguish between left-click on keyboard's touchpad mouse button and left-click via touchpad tap

Perhaps this will work. Hi mikey, Thanks for the link...I'll give it a look. I've never done anything with scan codes in AHK. Do you know if there is a way to tell what scan code is being sent when the left mouse button is pressed and what scan code is being sent when the touchpad is tapped? Thanks...

Thanks for that example. Works fine with my programs, too, but you are right, of course, that moving from the overflow tray to the main tray is visible. Regards, Joe

Distinguish between left-click on keyboard's touchpad mouse button and left-click via touchpad tap

Hi Folks, I have an IBM Model SK8845RC keyboard, which has a touchpad (a pointing stick, too, but I never use that). I'm pretty sure that the touchpad is a Synaptics and I've tried every driver that I can get my hands on (XP, Vista, W7, W8, W10), but I can't get any driver to work on W10/64-bit. The...

for me it works Hi teadrinker, Works for me, too, and I'd like to give it a try, but for icons in the overflow tray other than the running script. I could not figure out what I would have to change in your script in order to move an icon in the overflow tray by specifying its WinTitle...I'd be happ...

Re: Is there a way to put an icon outside the hidden tray icons by default?

It is not tooltip, it is name property. Yes, I get that they call it the "Name" property...all I'm saying is that it is not the "Name" in the sense of being the file name, such as program := "file.exe" in your posted code. That works if, and only if, you don't change the tooltip...which I do change...
