Re: <GuiControlGet, var, Hwnd> doesn't return the Hwnd?

@lmstearn : In your example, at line 6, I think you just need the Hwnd - I don't think you need to prefix it with ahk_id as though it was a WinTitle parameter. So: GuiControlGet, outVar, X:Hwnd, %ctrlHWnd% returns the Hwnd for me (...obviously in this test the Hwnd returned is the same as the one y...

Re: <GuiControlGet, var, Hwnd> doesn't return the Hwnd?

Re: GuiControlGet, OutputVar, Hwnd [, ControlID] The name of OutputVar must be the name of the control's associated variable. Otherwise ControlID must be specified to identify the control. The documentation says that OutputVar is The name of the variable in which to store the result of SubCommand. ...

On the subject of globals which are declared inside functions (plz move if not relevant to OP) the difference between that and static can be seen with a timer called in the function (edited): #SingleInstance Force #NoEnv #Warn SetBatchLines -1 ; Initiate GUI foo() return foo() { global ProgBar = 0 g...

Re: Associated Control Variables

Is this any better? Immediately after the letter V, specify the name of a variable. The options for the variable when the control is created within a function block are limited to a require an explicit declaration of either global, where an outside declaration must match the variable name, a ByRef l...

Freeing or Releasing Arrays of Arrays Topic is solved

Are there any special requirements in freeing Arrays of Arrays or does MDArray = "" do the trick? The use case here for elements is just numbers in a 2D of many rows but few columns, thus easier to iterate by columns in this pseudo code: MDArray{, 1} = "" MDArray{, 2} = "" MDArray{, 3} = "" Thanks.

Associated Control Variables

Immediately after the letter V, specify the name of a global variable (or a ByRef local that points to a global, or [in v1.0.46.01+] a static variable) The last two of the options in Variables would apply to control creation within functions, no? How about: Immediately after the letter V, specify t...

Re: Get all monitor handles

Where is the handle to each monitor in your example? It looks like since this example passes null values for the first two parameters, it will pass a null handle to the call back function. So what then would the handles that I need get passed to? Although I can't know how to interpret this, because...

Re: Document search fuction does not allow for hyphenated words

@Ragnar may be able to provide more details. Not much help, but toggling off/on "Highlight Keywords" at bottom of search pane highlights the terms on the RHS if it is showing. From experience HTMLHelp can be set up with full index search together with a stop-list and a "List Topics" button located o...

Re: Is this "DetectHiddenWindows" bug?

A hidden window isn't visible at all. DetectHiddenWindows doesn't make it so, it just detects whether the window exists, so in most cases the window has to be made visible for anything to work. You could try things like increasing the power plan, thread/app priority or CPU etc., however.

You mean:

Code: Select all

id := WinGetID("ahk_exe " . obs64_exe)
?
Sometimes Postmessage times out with hidden windows. SendMessage might be better.

Re: File loop cant read variable?

This one might be an issue:

Code: Select all

loop % A_ScriptDir "\Skill\" DirFile , 1 , 1
Not familiar with the syntax. Do you want something like (untested)

Code: Select all

For Key in DirFile
testFile := % A_ScriptDir .  "\Skill\" .  DirFile[A_Index]

Hi,
Items can be added to a menu via the registry, but this one isn't straight-forward. There's a thread about it, with a script here:

Without doing anything tricky with the sequence of Send and Sleep values, insert

Code: Select all

If not toggle
break
after each

Code: Select all

Send {X}
Sleep Y
