I have a Logitech K270 keyboard. It lacks a Launch Media key but it has a Play/Pause Key, so it occurred to me that I could use Windows+Play/Pause as a hotkey for launching the media player.
I tried this: But doesn't seem to work.
As a workaround I'm currently using this: .
It works but it is not exactly what I wanted to achieve since this launches the Media player hardcoded in the script, not the Media player defined by Windows.
It seems the command is not being executed properly while others such as are executed without problem.
Another issue I discovered when writing this hotkey is, despite in its current workaround form it launches Winamp, it also opens the Windows Start panel, so it looks like the Windows key press is not correctly filtered.
This does not happen if I use or instead of . If I use , Winamp opens but not the Windows Start panel (as expected).
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems like a bug to me (or more precisely, two different bugs).
